Yeah but he's not been in very good form lately, still he is SA's best batsman. THe number 3 spot is the one reserved for those types.

Kirsten has just come in and played the prefect innings (apart from that LB) he's the reason why SA are cruising. They will probably persist with him to the World Cup.

They dominated Pakistan again in this match. Looking very good now. The series is in the bag. Now Pakistan can play for their pride.

WHAT?

OK I know he hasn't made a score in this series, but before that he made 38*, 53, 87 and 64* against SL, 47 against BAN, 97 against IND and 60 against KEN, that's 426 runs in 7 matches at 85.2. Not very good form, granted...:rolleyes:

A better performance by Pak batsmen in this game, particularly the openers, unfortunately they lost a few quick wkts and ended up getting short of 30-40 runs.

Waseem was badly missed today, Kirstein was lucky as he was plump in front of wicket when he wasn't of the mark.Pakistan should have gone with Sami in this match instead of an additional batsman in Faisal.

By the way, why is PAK playing only 4 real bowlers. They got only Afridi to back up. I know afridi is bowling well but isn't it too much to ask . Surely somebody has an offday.

India have been relying on that a lot as well - Bangar as the 5th makes the bowling look a bit more solid, but there's still more loose cannons there than Pak have.

Marc , Why are you bringing India into this? I said that b'coz others don't bowl. India can bowl Sehwag, Sachin , Yuvraj and Ganguly. In that match PAK had just 5 bowlers. I haven't seen Inzamam,Yohanna,Younis,Salim,Faisal bowl even a single ball. That's the reason i said that.

But when you go into a match with three seamers and two spinners, you don't have that many bits to piece. However I agree with you that they should train up a Gayle-esque bowler, perhaps Faisal?

Because England are playing the best side in the world and India can't even beat the West Indies, or out bowl them...and I feel it will be the same in the ODIs in NZ.
