That has to be one of the most stupid comments I have ever heard... "as i have already said that all India had to do was to face England in the final in it"

You mean that you never bothered to read your own statements?? Do you suffers from Alexia???

The '99 final fiasco had more to do with being completely outplayed in all departments of the game on that day than any bad luck or jinx. The Aussies were deserving winners on that day.
Anil.....when we agree on everything then what is the disagreement ? :alien8: I mean you would have expected Pakistan to play well in the final having defeated the Aussies before, and crushing NZ on their way to the finals. But what you and me witnessed was out of the ordinary, or the unexpected.

Staffordshire University, thank you very much.

ALEXIA
  • [1]Patients with alexia (proper) suffer a complete loss of the ability to read.
[2]Others have a problem with the process of early visual recognition and, in particular, word recognition.
[3]Hence we might expect an inability to read to be displayed by some agnosics.

AGNOSIA (of which Alexia appears to be a form of...)
  • [1]Visual agnosics are not blind. They are able to see their environment even though they can make little, or no, sense of it
    [2]The term agnosia is taken from the Greek - a {without} gnosia {perception}
[3]A patient with an apperceptive deficit cannot match to a sample or copy an object that cannot be recognised whilst a patient with an associative disorder will be able to do these tasks

Basically it seems to be where someone sees but does not take in there surroudings...

And NOT something to make jokes about.

So he wants to play does he?

So Mr Warrioryohannan, thou wishes to use words of length? Thou also questions my ability to understand the language I have been taught since I first was brought upon this land, also thou accuses me of suffering from some condition which means I should not be able to write in the way I am at this moment. Well sir, I bite my thumb at you.

Whats that supposed to mean anyway ?
Quote from Romeo and Juliet. Obviously if I suffered from Alexia, I would not have been able to read the book in the 1st place, let alone quote it.

Dunno mate, but I thought I'd say it for a laugh!

Sounds menacing!
In the time Romeo and Juliet was based in, biting your thumb at someone was a dismissive and disrespectful action, sort of like the 2 fingered salute.

No use. It will go down the drain sooner anyway.
The whole book part though. Despite what WarriorYohannan thinks, I am a very keen reader.

...................................................................................

That has nothing to do with the problem i mentioned!

Alexia is characterized by a deficit in word reading, with a relative preservation of letter reading. The patient is usually able to write spontaneously, but not read what has been written.

Well thats hardly cricket!

Talking about Alexia, intersting thing about the condition is that the patient is not able to read what he/she had himself/herself written!!

I don't think Sunny suffers from it, he's a brat, sort of Dennis the Mennace fellow, though he's lively and keeps this forum alive!
