Well....overall India has a poor record against Pakistan, but you have to admit that they have a 100% win record against them in the WC. Also, considering the current form of both teams, it is better for fans of both countries not to be too complacent, isn't it?

The way things are looking, the chances of either India or Pakistan getting eliminated from the group stages are very possible and won't be very surprising.

As for the India-Pakistan match.....that's gonna be equivalent to the final of the world cup as far as the fans of both these countries are concerned.India has a better record against Pak in the WC, but IMO that is just coincidental and has nothing to do with any type of trend or anything which can be used to predict an Indian win. All I know is that its gonna be a cracker !

Normally the most awaited match for me is the one b/w India and Pak, but this time i'll be dying to watch the OD match between India and England!

The match between Pakistan and India can actually become very crucial for both teams as it can be a match for survival. The match is going to take place on first march, before which both teams would have already played against stronger teams in Australia and England.Considering both India and Pakistan have been playing crap cricket lately( Particularly Pak) it is possible that both Pakistan and India might end up losing to Aus & England and as such a win against the arc rival will be essential to proceed to super six stage!

What is the jinx here? India's overall poor record against Pak or Pak's poor record against them in the WC? and what/who does it jinx? Right now, neither team needs bad luck or jinxes to screw up at the WC. They are capable of doing that very well the old fashioned way, by playing miserably!!!

We have poor records against Aus, SA and Pak (and of those teams, just about everyone has a poor record against them.

4 wins and 5 losses is not poor, it shows the teams are actually close - It only takes 3 results, and it could be 5-4 in England's favour, but that doesn't suddenly make them a better side!

Let me remind you that this was in no way a stroll in the park for India, England racked up a huge score of 325 for 5. India only got close due to a superb partnership by Yuvraj and Kaif, but still it was very very close and India only won by 2 Wickets...I don't call that a walk in the park, certainly not a game a team only has to turn up to win...

The '99 final fiasco had more to do with being completely outplayed in all departments of the game on that day than any bad luck or jinx. The Aussies were deserving winners on that day.
