Is it wrong for me to want a West Indian to "take a wicket" off a noball? Michael Holding said he'll eat his microphone if that happens again. :p

Just seen the highlights of the first session. I don't think too much blame can be attached to Gayle, it was a good little ball from Nel; angled across the left-hander with a bit of late movement. It's funny how when a batter is going thru a rough trot they seem to attract good balls like magnets. Ntini's that did for Hinds was pretty good too, although Wavell didn't get to the pitch of it.

Very ordinary shot from Sarwan tho....

I just don't understand dismissals like that. Hinds (Ryan this time) had let 6 almost identical balls from Kallis pass harmlessly thru to the keeper in his previous over, but felt the need the play a jerky defensive shot at one that he could just as easily left & finds an edge.

All down to Brian Charles now...

A shame it had to end. Absolutely fantastic innings, a pleasure to watch. There's no-one better to watch in the world than Lara when he's in that form.

Bravo stays true to his West Indian heritage and follows Charles to the pavilion. A very impressive contribution though. He will be criticized for his dismissal, but while he was at the crease he put in a lot of work and played very well.
