Sounds like he should have reviewed it. Damn.
Yeah well, pity but if it wasn't obvious then I can understand. The last thing you'd want is for him to get it wrong and then Kane or Ross to get sawn off a couple overs later.

Good battle between KW/RT and Tahir. Not going to let him settle. Decided the lap sweep with the predominant google is the answer. Tahir nearly foxed KW with the leg-break.

Not watching though doesn't sound the easiest to score at the moment unless the bowler errs. Williamson and Taylor probably conscious of how poor our middle order has been lately too.

So if you agree about Brownlie coming in for Latham when Gup returns, who does the keeper come in for if not Neesham?

Also, when was this time you refer to that we could ever trust Neesh with the white ball? :p
Comes in for CDG surely.
Meaning Neesham and Kane share 10.
I see no difference to CDG and Kane sharing 10.

How is Worker's bowling? I've seen a couple of highlights that didn't look flash, however Doull (iirc) was talking his bowling up during the other match.
I said on the domestic thread that his bowling action is starting to look really ragged. Which was a polite coded way of asking if anyone else thinks he is starting to chuck.

With the huge interest in Ford Trophy and the white hot topic of chucking, this generated huge controversy and 0 people reacted, replied, or countered.

Although subsequently he took 4 (rather trash) wickets in one of the knock out games. I thought his action then was fine.

I had never previously had suspicions. Maybe I just watched on a bad day.

His bowling isn't great. But in a white ball darting left arm nude spin devil spawn kind of way. He'd be ok for 3 per game on average.

Heh, alright then - how dare you impugn the might of George Worker's bowling?!!!

I didn't see any chuckyness in the highlights I saw, which admittedly were just the four wickets that Auckland handed him in the last round - two of which were short trash balls.

Turning to stats, he has 43 List A wickets at 39.9 and econ of 5.35. Not brilliant but not terrible.

I've edited my post a bit while you were replying.
Never suspected before, watched with interest his 4-fer after making the comment a round or 2 before. Seemed all good.

**** off Broom, I've not no confidence in our middle order these days, very hit and miss.

Yeah I'm happy for Broom that he had a bit of a second coming and some genuine success for a series or two there, but I don't think he really works at #5 in this lineup. Good bench strength for insurance against a Williamson or Taylor injury, but shouldn't be at 5 IMO. I think I'd sooner think about him for Test cricket than keep picking him in this role.

Would personally like to see Tom Bruce get a crack at 5. We're hardly bursting at the seams with talented middle order ODI bats currently.

He is a little samey coming in below Williamson and Taylor, though given how bad many of the options are or have been that's not terrible. I'd give him the rest of the series at least.

NZ doing a good job in making Pretorius look like Joel Garner here, 2 off that over, the 36th. blahh

Big innings needed for neesham here. Should be his last odi for a while unless he scores big. Has never really played an odi innings of significance yet and his bowling is horrendous.

Id still keep latham in the hope he is just out if form ahead of brownlie to the champions trophy

Broom still deserves his place. He is a good number 5, rotates the strike. From memory he played well at eden park too so he has had 3 low scores and people want him out already?

The top 5 for the ct is pretty set imo

Guptill
Latham
wiliamson
Taylor
Broom.

Its the 6-8 that are the problem areas

Looks like NZ are settling for 280 here, highly unlikely SA don't get that in a canter with the class in their top 6 & strength & depth of their all-rounders, just not proactive enough.

Meanwhile Harris saying how positive NZ have been all innings..
