:p But the wall shattered as well.

Its been a poor day for India. I don't know if the pitch misbehaved or the SA bowlers were bowling excellently or the Indian batsmen making poor shots or any combination of these, but lets hope the lower order can salvage something. Now that one God has failed, lets hope the Great AA can do something good.

yes, it is a shock. apparently sachin's decision was wrong. i'm ready to bash hariharan if this is the case, but the other 4 dismissals are shocking as well. at least we have a deep batting lineup ... praying for a recovery

If we can get either Dhoni or (Preferably) Singh now, it would be brilliant! Holding thumbs! Don't think it will be to long before Smith reintroduce Polly into the attack, but we'll see... :D

Boucher *drops* Dhoni....Hope Dhoni makes SA pay for it. :) Is it just me or does any one else think that Boucher is one of the worst WK around now ?

Actually if you look at the stats - And I do realise you can't base everything on stats, he is one of the bests.

Rating wicketkeepers since Sept 2001

Name % chances held

Gilchrist 86.50
Sangakkara 81.82
Tatenda Taibu 87.27
Rashid Latif 92.68
Alec Stewart 83.64
Mark Boucher 89.14
Ridley Jacobs 87.39
Brendon McCullum 73.02
Khaled Mashud 87.95
Kamran Akmal 83.78

(According to this it's only Latif with a better percentage of chances held)

But if you look at the amount of byes Boucher has conceded he is one of the worst in that department, although in some cases there's nothing the wicky can do about that...

Thanks..It must be a co-incident then, whenever I have watched him..he has missed a catch..India 188/7 after 44, Yuvraj Singh - 90*

I must admit, that he can be a bit inconsistent, on the same day he'll take a blinder of a catch, and very next ball (Okay so maybe not very next ball :p ) he'll drop one that any high school player can catch. It doesn't happen too often, but when he does drop it, it's usually very BAD drops 8-)

At least Dhoni didn't make us pay too much, now just to get Yuvrah Singh, must applaud him though, he really has stuck to his guns and have played superbly! :D

Now it's 211/8 :D

And so they end with 249/9. Must say congrats to the Indians, for a while there it didn't look like they were going to reach 200, but Yuvraj did brilliantly, with Haberjan playing really aggresively at the end there!

Don't know if it's enough, with SA's strong line up, but we'll have to see how they contend with the Indies bowling attack.

I think this one is set up for a close game! :D

SA need 250 in 50 overs..Some great hitting by Harbhajan..37 in 17. Great score after the Master Blaster aka the LORD SACHIN himself, the Vice Captain and Mr. dependable Kaif left us @ 5/3.

IMO it should be an easy one for SA (unless SA batsmen screw up like we did) , given that India are a bowler short already and the pitch looks perfect for batting. Indian top order made a mess there and that's it we shouldn't read anything more than that..

Let's hope you're right! :D

It's just over the last few games SA have had this brilliant way of getting themselves into heaps of trouble, and letting one or two play us out of it again. Believe me I DON'T want to jinx us, I do believe that it was a combination of silly strokeplay and good bowling that led to India's early troubles, if the South Africans keep their heads they should get there comfortably, I just hope that we don't do the same as the Indies...

South Africa are at a severe disadvantage. They are without their best player, Nicky Boje. India have a great chance to win this.

this is just like the SL vs Ind series. first team batting gets in to loads of trouble due to seam movement, then the movement dies down and when the other team comes to bat its flat as a pancake.
