***Official*** South Africa in India

Boucher in at #5... bit if a concern, especially considering they opened the batting with an allrounder. They basically only played two specialist batsmen - Ashwell Prince and Graeme Smith. Kallis effectively makes it three, but really, too many bowlers.

If they plan of picking such a bowler-heavy side, they should at least pick a batsman as the super-sub. Robin Petersen isnt going to accomplish anything regardless of whether South Africa bat first or second. If they bat first, and he comes on in the second innings, he'll be 8th choice bowler, behind Pollock, Ntini, Nel, Langeveldt, Hall, Botha and Kallis. Not a great chance of him bowling, really.... and if they bowl first and he comes on in the second innings to bat, he'd bat at 8. Definately a waste of a position that could have been supplied to De Villiers to back up the batting.

India's opening batsman, Gambhir has departed early, being caught off Ntini. Short ball, but not too short and Gambhir miss times the shot, sending the ball straight up into the air. Right now India are 18-1 after 4 overs. It's going to be one hell of a time watching Sachin bat for the rest of the match...two glorious boundaries from him already.

South Africa end up getting 221. Good knock from Kallis. Pathan bowled beautifully.

In reply India is already one down. Gambhir opened and was out in the 2nd over to Ntini. Sehwag and Tendulkar currently at the crease.

Pollock drops Sehwag off his own bowling and now Viru is making him pay! 4 followed by a 6!

And now Pollock has Sehwag out! My oh my that was a typical Sehwag ODI knock. Smash, smash, drop, smash, smash, out!

Bullsh** decision from Harper. Is the man blind? That was clearly too high...the man jumped and it hit his knee roll for gods sake...how retarted can an umpire be? Even on the first look in real time speed it looked too high.

Pollock to Sehwag, out Lbw!!, very unlucky for Sehwag, that came back in from just short of good length, Sehwag jumped on his toes to play it towards the on side, he was rapped on the pads, however that was high and it was going down leg, a poor decision by Harper V Sehwag lbw b S Pollock 27(20) 4s-4 6s-1

Wonder if Justin Kemp is bowling. If so, the Indians should target him and attack him mercilessly, leaving him with an economy of over 10. He shouldn't pose much of a threat with the ball.

Oh....and can someone explain why this happened? RP Singh got six overs and gave away 27 runs, while the pie throwers bowled nine overs and gave away 47 runs and somehow picked up a wicket. Are they really serious about taking ten wickets?

harper and hariharan have both done a great job in proving that they are simply pathetic ... clean out the garbage please, get these umpires out

Agreed. In both series, India vs Sri Lanka and India v South Africa...both of them proved that they can't make a good decision if their life depended on it

Mr. Jackman it wouldnt have bene out even if it hit the stumps :p

Dravid hitting the most aesthetically beautiful fours as he usually does.

Run rate is very good, and if India are sensible here they should walk this. Sehwag and Sachin have got India off to a flier, and with a RRQ of only 4 an over with 8 wickets in hand, they should get there.

Keep going Rahul and Sachin. :D

Dravid slashes at a ball and misses.

Robin Jackman says he heard a big noise! Siva agrees.

Replay shows the seam rotation does not change after passing the bat.

Robin Jackman still bemuses that he heard a noise.

Hilarious really.
