Gambhir gone! Oh no, Dravid's in - will we see the painfully slow and Dravid of old or the nwe one we saw the last few years ?

Let's get on with the game - score at 3.5 or so per over - otherwise it's another boring, boring draw

Yeah that's why I'm watching NZ vs Aus. Kumble has had 2 catches put down by Karthik :( He was having such a good game behind the stumps too. Unfortunate.

Lunch time over there now.

Bring back Patel... :p

If I grow up then how will I communicate with you ? Besides, Bucknor is absolutely incompetent - first you accuse me of being biased towards India, then when I say Taufel is umpiring well even though he missed a clear out in India's favor you accuse me of being biased against Bucknor ?
No, I said that had it been Bucknor you'd have had a hissy fit and claimed he's biased.

But it wasn't, so you decided not to.

The coach has to work on Gambhir's habit of spreading his legs out so far and playing far from the body. He just needs to get the full face of the bat on the ball, the way he did in list-A limited overs matches. He's not Akash Chopra, but an aggressive player who should attack in all conditions- Sehwag should advise him.

Not that I give a hoot but it would be nice if your small mind would be consistent - at least with itself.
Clear out? Firstly, it wasn't clear. Secondly, it was proven today that there was no nick, it came off the pad. Only Taufel knew that.

You already have two keepers in the playing XI, so why pick a third? ON second thoughts......you have 11 keepers.

Sehwag 50 off 79 balls.
Have you noticed that each time he has reached 100 in the recent past, he adds at least 50 runs? I wouldn't complain much about his batting, but he is under-achieving as a bowler. Or maybe under-used. A lot of attacking batsmen who play like him have an extra skill. Last time, someone asked why the Indians don't play five bowlers. If he practised his bowling a lot more, the Indian attack would be more balanced.

I !@#$^!@#!%ing hate Virender Sehwag!!! :crybaby:

I know, I know, :tomato:

Mutter, mumble, mumble, mutter, clear LBW, stupid Aussie, mumble, mumble, grumble. :helpsmili

LOL! Only Sehwag, that's all I'll say. He leaves a ball which could have been given LBW. So what does he do next? 4,6,4,4 (including a reverse sweep).

Great entertainment, lets hope Sehwag keeps it going. I'm craving to see Sachin come out and smack all the South African's as well.

Cmon Sachin, let's shut em all up!

:D :p

Hopefully Pathan will make more than just the usual 10 runs an innings. He's good enough for regular scores above 30. He has good technique and can hit the ball very hard. If he scores runs over 30 at a strike rate of over 70, and converts starts into big scores, he can be a very vital selection in the side, and the selectors can start looking for wicketkeepers who can keep. Boycott said that if he applies himself, he can make lots of runs, but he has to want to do it. At present, he is under-achievign with the bat, though his bowling is not too bad.

Whatever it takes!!!
I think India did well today, but we need to be very careful tomorrow morning. The ball always moves around early on. I just hope Dravid can stick around that time. He always seems to kill time when it is relatively easier to bat and when it gets difficult, he seems to get out. (I mean in this season, not the previous ones.) Tomorrow morning would be one session when I would want Dravid show all his prowess at staying put at the wicket.

Let's not please. Let's rather hope that the Indian order collapses like a gigantic flan (French dessert I think), SA end up with a 150 run lead and Hashim Ama makes a glorious triple century. :)

And Ontong spins his web of deceit around them on the last day taking an 8'fer.

Hoping for India to crush SA, is like hoping that the Sun will still be yellow tomorrow, it's incredibly likely that it still will be. If you're gonna hope, at least hope for something that's unlikely.

I'm really screwed either way, if SA lose, then I'm going to be upset, that SA lost. If India lose, then the wife, and her entire family will be annoyed when I gloat 'till the cows come home and I'll have to sleep on the sofa. Actually, you could say, I'm not scr....... :D

Sorry if this doesn't make any sense, it's coming to the end of the day, I haven't had lunch, and I'm really hungry.

Typical Sehwag, really.
Almost invariably some luck mixed in there, totally forgotten because of all the extravagance that surrounds it.

If he's good enough for them, then why isn't he getting them?

Because potential can take time to develop.
Pathan certainly has some potential in my eyes. But he's not, of course, good enough yet, otherwise he would be scoring already.
