I agree, what other site can boast the Duck?

LE's official website?
Owing to a contractual wrangle, the Duck no longer appears on the official LE site.

Rumours abound that he asked for too much bird seed for his words of "wisdom"

According to reports, the Trent Bridge wicket will be a sporting wicket along with the Headingly one. If that is the case, I dont see the point in playing Giles. I personally wouldnt bother playing a spinner at Headingly unless he is world class (ie Vettori, Warne, Kumble, Mruali).

If Hoggard and Johnson are fit, and pass well through their county matches, then they should be considered. Or the other option is James Kirtley, I dont think England could do anything wrong in playing him.

I wouldnt pick him for ODIs, but Tests he might be worth a shot.

If you want spin, I'm sure Vaughan can bowl himself.

England to lose wicket after good start in 3, 2...

And there goes Butcher.

and so it continues....

Butcher, playing like a dream, throws it away on 70.

Ratio of 'good balls' to 'others' in dismissing top-flight English batsmen now stands at 1:9

It looks like a great batting wicket. I would back myself on that wicket, really I'm not surprised that Smith got 259, the way England bowled, I would back myself.

So the way England have batted is disappionting.

And congratulations on Nasser for getting 5000 Test runs and the 15th English batsmen to get that milestone at an average of just over 37.

England 208-3, 301 runs behind, Hussain 58, McGrath 13*

South Africa's over-rate is poor.

Hussain is still going, 58*.

This could be the defining innings as to whether he stays or goes.

Hussain has committed cricketing suicide on 61 by hooking Ntini, skying it and is caught behind by Boucher.

England 208-4, McGrath 13*, England trail behind 301 runs.

If England knock these runs off, I'm a monkey's unce.

England surely gone at 208-5. Double wicket maiden by Ntini.

England scored 79-3 off 25 overs in this session.

Bowling figures:

Pollock 14-6-27-0
Ntini 20-3-93-3
Hall 15-3-44-2
Adams 12-1-41-0

Can't knock Flintoff's approach in the second innings. He has left a few - earlier, he was stroking the ball and resisting the hook. Now we're down to the tail - hell yeah, entertain and try to get a ton. Great stuff.

Circumstances, and all that. Great duel between him and Ntini.
