From all reports, it seems a combined effort.Eclipse said:And for those who have seen smith's innings is he really that good or are England just bowling really really ****.
I don't mean to make him sound selfish, but I think Smith is playing for himself primarily - responding to the critics....in style!Craig said:I am starting to believe Smith is playing for Kallis as well. I feel sorry for Rudolph, he needs a decent hit.
And it's not been his fault he hasn't picked one up today. He bowled really well, and has seen 2 regulation catches dropped off him.Rik said:Despite the fact he is averaging 20 with the bat and hasn't taken a wicket yet, for about 150 runs this series...
Strange that, but most people watching the game would say that Anderson and Gough are in serious danger of missing the next match. Gough is all but certain to...hourn said:Anderson and Gough are definetaly guys to be in the team for now, whilst if Hoggard and Johnson were there, that is a reasonable four pronged pace attack.
He cannot bat as well as Giles.Tim said:I thought while Richard Dawson didn't really show many qualities as a bowler in Australia..he did show that he could handle a bat quite well & if he can work on his spin he might be an option for England.
I agree, the English bowlers should not have been rested so much. Anderson in particular needs as much bowling as he can get outside of Tests.hourn said:This, as I've harped on before, stems from the amount of FC cricket which is being played.
A bit of both for sure.Eclipse said:I cant beleve how badly England are doing.

Yeah he seems to be one of those players with great concerntration and solid techneque.marc71178 said:A bit of both for sure.
The main problem is that he scores about 65-70% of his runs through the leg side, so Anderson in particular bowled almost every ball on his pads early on. Once he gets going, he's very hard to stop.
It's possible....158.5 Flintoff to Rudolph, OUT: at last a catch held! good length delivery, pitched on the middle and angling away from the left hander, Rudolph defends, ball takes the edge and goes to Stewart,
Flintoff gets a much deserved wicket

Flintoff's bowling has been phenomenal and I don't care what anyone else on here says about it :PMr Mxyzptlk said:It's possible....
It was a much-improved display - and if England's fielders had been able to cling on to those really fierce dollies he could well have had 3 or 4 wickets.marc71178 said:Flintoff's bowling has been phenomenal and I don't care what anyone else on here says about it :P
of that there is no doubt - however, given the flatness of the pitch, this should have been a nailed-on draw.Choora said:Someone got to remind the English bowlers that their job is to get wickets!!
