**Official** South Africa in England 2012

Think Donald implied his channeled aggression more than the quality of his bowling. And he did look to be in fair rhythm for large parts of the game; the runup, the carry through, etc.

@Heboric: Steven Erikson fan?

Good grief are you one of those supporters that will never give credit to the opposition. You do know that there are good players that dont play for England.
Don't even reply to ''it" mate.

Morkel certainly bowled better than their medium-paced trundlers did at The Oval. Nothing wrong with Donald doing an article to say he is proud of one of his bowlers and saying he is making strides in an area he is working with him in.

Supposedly we're only front-runners and bully opponents according to "it". Once again another false statement from "it" as we came from behind to win the last test match.

It was a dead pitch, where the atmospheric conditions allowed some movement only briefly throughout the game. England gave away their wickets throughout the match, South Africa didn't. Producing a dead wicket where grinding is the order of the day did England no favours whatsoever.

Extraordinarily condescending.

The overall attitude from the South African camp, and fans, is making me even more up for this next game. My worries probably outweigh my confidence but you guys are doing a good job of reversing that.

2-1 England.

Not really.

I've always been one to acknowledge good perfromance to the opposition and say well done if they win.

"It" above has never done so and either says England are the best or if they lose its due to how '****' they were and never a well done to the opposition.

He then wants to go and say how **** Morkel was in the last test when he bowled really well in periods as part of a 'team' of bolwers and worked to a plan for KP's wicket for example. He then wants to say that after the poor performance of your bolwers ? There is a time to talk down opposition but not when your bowlers performed worse.

Tbh if you have a problem with my last post then fine but I certainly don't have a single problem with my last post at all. I usually stay out of this stuff & I shouldn't have stepped in, better get back to work.

Good luck for Thursday. Let the best team win.

You do realise you're actually talking about a person there, right? Referring to another poster as "it" is not on.

Well I feel the same towards England with all the talk pre series from supporters and media. I mean to say South Africa wouldnt even win a single test match was a bit much

I'll remind everyone once again that CW is not a place for nationalistic dick-waving. Whether your team won or lost has absolutely no impact on your right to express your opinion on how a player performed, or whether that opinion is valid.

Yes but one should also have the right to call out a person who is known for one sided views which is not remotely based on fact. There comes a time when one cannot hide behind the old "My Opinion" line.

Then debate the view. Personalising the debate is exactly the sort of thing that we need to avoid in these threads.

Or, if it makes you so agitated that you can't be civil about it, ignore it.

it's excitement buddy, it's what they do. not that you'd know.

Anyway I think saffers are pumping themselves up a bit here, backing the draw but if there's a result hope its the poms narrowly and a big decider.
