If you guys want to keep arguing, get MSN and stop polluting this thread.

Despite what the commentators are saying, SA shouldn't be really putting their foot down here. They should be looking to score at just around 4 an over, but nothing too stupid. It's the second day and it's not even tea yet.

Our big war was about the nature of the wicket though - not the actual performance of the players, but what the wicket offered. :) Happy new year. :p

From the forum rules, maybe you should give it a read

3) Flame Wars - No tolerance will be given for this sort of thing. Just keep in mind that you are arguing via text on a public message board... Is there really a clean cut winner? I suggest you keep that sort of thing on someone else's board or some instant messaging service.

No Attacks / Retaliation of any kind against a member, or group of members

Mark Nicholas points out how a lot of overs are left in this match - hopefully it will shut up Healy, Taylor and Chappell.

O I am hoping against hope.

Really when Nicholas appears to be a good commentator you have to fathom the standard of some of the others.

Typical. Bowden steps foot on the field and the umpiring standard drops.

How is this typical? None of those were out ... Bowden is a fair umpire that doesn't crumble under the Australian appealing pressure. In my books thats great news for cricket. We need more ppl like him.

Nothing there in that snicko from the past decision from that over as well. So as Greig said, Bowden has done very well in the over.

Greig had been saying there was a blatant nick until he saw the replays.

Yes. So he was obviously wrong initially. And he did say that they threw every thing at Bowden with slow mos, snickos and Bowden came out clean in that over.

Very disappointing session from South African perspective.

Two not outs of Prince and Boucher given out.

Rudolph is looking solid though, Pollock is giving it his all and its all very fascinating.
