Wow Lee bowl hits Kallis on the chest. Kallis goes down. Crowd Cheers. Stands right up.

Good contest.

Kallis hasnt been very comfortable today but he is still there which is the important thing.

Kallis needs to get away from Lee's end
Yeah, this was the first time Kallis has faced Lee since that great over Lee had bowled and he got hit on the chest. Prince seems to be pretty comfortable with Lee though.

93 from 240 deliveries. How can this guy be the best batsmen in the world as someone said here?
Stop listening to the commentators so much.

Ian Chapple having a go at Kallis' slow strike rate. That is the way Kallis bats he minimises risks and tries to wear the bowlers down. That is why he averages over 57. I know its been said before but the Chapple can be quite annoying trying to get everyone to play like him.

Average of 57 is a lot of evidence. But I agrre that Lara & Pointing are superior.

Interesting perspectives from Ian Chappell -

Kallis is avoiding the bouncers. This is what seprates the batsmen like Tendulkar, Lara and Ponting from the likes of Kallis.

Kallis is not a match winning batsman.

For Kallis match considerations take second priority
lololol

This when the guy is valuing his wicket and has played such a superb inning.

You have as much idea as these moronic commentators (is one of them Chappell? He always was a prune) who basically want to see limited overs cricket.

This is a quite magnificent exhibition of 'proper' cricket from Kallis and Prince at the moment - and it is driving the Aussies nuts.

Yeah in the same breath Chapple is saying the Leg Spinners are going to run through Soith Africa's lower order and these two have to get most of the runs. Yet wants Kallis to be hooking a guy bowling 150K with 2 fielded. Seems like common sense to avoid the bouncers to me.
