***Official***Semi-Final #1- India vs New Zealand - November 15th - Wankhede, Mumbai (D/N)

King Kane

International Regular
A much better over from Boult but still no wickets.

India with so many wickets in hand can go crazy in the last 10 overs.

Moss

International Captain
Outside of beating England in the first game of the tournament NZ lost to rest of the big teams, ind, Aus, SA and pak. So this was on the cards.
When you barely make semis after comparatively beating bang, afg, Netherlands and SL, this is the reality check you deserve!
Too simplistic a view. The Afghanistan win was a creditable one given how AFG have played. The South Africa game aside, NZ played pretty well in the losses and came very close in 2 of those. So they aren’t in the semis where some other side should have been. That spot was generally earned.

That said, Reality check for the bowling, yes. Was always going to be the weak link coming into the tournament. Allied to injuries and backward looking selection (Southee, out of form Ferguson), it was always going to come back to hurt NZ.

The good thing for Kohli breaking Tendulkar's tournament record against New Zealand it means barring something massive from Ravindra he won't catch him... and most likely bow out in the semi's.

Only De Kock now can pretty much go past him.
