***Official***Semi-Final #1- India vs New Zealand - November 15th - Wankhede, Mumbai (D/N)

Moss

International Captain
We haven't bowled that well but the bowlers are on to a hiding to nothing bowling on this pitch, it's way too much in favour of the batsmen.

It's not a good pitch even for an ODI, you need a better balance between bat and ball to provide a better contest, only Indian fans will be enjoying this.
I agree, but you can limit the damage by not losing lines/lengths. Been a pattern over the last few games.

The Hutt Rec

International Vice-Captain
nz fielders tired out there. expect boundaries from now on. chasing balls near the boundary not going to be as intense. except for conway who is a gun
Southee looked like he was on his last legs in about his third over, so they will really be struggling by now.

Looks like a few empty seats in the crowd which surprises me. Do people in Mumbai come down to the ground for the evening session on their way back from the beach or the shops?

Andyhere

International 12th Man
Outside of beating England in the first game of the tournament NZ lost to rest of the big teams, ind, Aus, SA and pak. So this was on the cards.
When you barely make semis after comparatively beating bang, afg, Netherlands and SL, this is the reality check you deserve!

Do we need a better balance between bat and ball, or do we need a better balance between India and New Zealand?

Was anyone suggesting NZ were favourites coming into this game?
