I may get flamed for this but not a single **** was given. IMO dhoni proved he doesn't have a pair here. I mean u appeal u get him out and u refuse taking it back to the umpire. then u get pressured into taking it back and say ok to the opposing captain? what? u gifted the match, the series and the #1 ranking. u gotta be ruthless in life to win. No and I think few cricket lovers would think the two things comparable.
Whole can of worms opened there. Everything about Kumar's body language screamed 4. The slow walk to the ball, the lazy throw back in. Having said that, Bell should have been a bit more careful. I don't buy the idea that he was running a 4th, he'd have actually run it, as opposed to a slow walk/jog, if he was looking for a run, but he should certainly have waited for the over to be called.
The right thing for cricket has happened eventually though.
And as I type, Bell's innings is properly over. Hopefully that incident won't stop us seeing what a great knock that was.
