So what was he trying to do quickening his speed and looking at the fielder after his first few steps?

Hungry for biscuits at tea? There is no way in hell he was not claiming the 4th run if Morgan had ran.
..........i'm just. totally speechless.

anyway I'm going to bed. Great innings from Bell, great work by MS. Hopefully there's more twists to come.

Hasn't Strauss recalled a batsman before? Seem to remember an ODI incident against Sri Lanka, can't remember what happened exactly. Anyone?

Meanwhile, back in the cricket, India look half dead. Must be dispiriting.
Yes, the Champions trophy I think, it was matthews , when he ran into Onions,

If only there was some sort of system where Harbhajan could ask for the decision to be reviewed...
Indeed, and what a horrifically condescending post from Anku31, clearly their captain has more class then some of their supporters. I wonder, if he'll be able to digest that post.

Lol.at the comparison between this and Harbhajan's dismissal.
Both were fairly and squarely out by applying the rules of the game. Neither was a wrong decision. Only one was recalled.

The spirit of the game is to give fair decisions. Out was the fair decision.

If Dhoni has in fact recalled Bell, Dhoni is a ****ing moron and needs to get his head on straight.
This. Plus he is also either a ****ing ***** afraid to stand up to the backlash or one who is looking for fame more than winning a match for his nation or both.

The sad thing is India may have been distracted by all that nonsense and handed the game to England there:(

So this is what we want cricket to become? Not a contest between bat and ball, but an added element of who can trick people into leaving their crease for banal reasons?

There is a reason we have a law stating that a batsman cannot be given out run out if he has left the crease under the misapprehension that he is out.
Where was the trick or misapprehension? Just because the Indians looked disinterested, that's not a trick. Perhaps they hadn't expected Bell to go walkies.

If I was an Indian fielder, I'd be disheartened, you save the boundary, you throw the ball in, the bails are taken off, there's no batsman at the crease, they're out, they're given out and they're still there.

Just win this test & get the hell out of cricket.Shameful for Strauss to be asking for reversal of the appeal even when the umpires had given Bell out according to the rules.

haha.........tbh i just watched the footage and it seemed that Bell was running for the 4th run somewhat and then decided not to come back and ground his bat lol
Obviously what we are saying is patently untrue and we are being dishonest. Anyway te rate at which the score is piling on here it is curtains for India.

Wow!! What a clear explanation you have got. Would be better if you just answered a simple question.

Would be hilarious if India are nine down and 5 runs from winning and this happens...and Strauss refuses to withdraw the appeal.

Theres a law for that???

**** I was run out walking back to the pavilion after getting bowled off a delivery that was a free hit, unaware that there were free hits in the game.

Wot? Bell was hit by a plain case of stupid and it's been amusing watching the usual suspects try and argue why he wasn't to blame, but surely you don't think the bowlers weren't being spanked enough before this incident?

Imagine a collapse like tomorrow's right now & India need 290 to win.Wouldn't it be fantastic for this game??
