*Official* Second Test at Trent Bridge

Look, I'm not exactly his biggest fan. I just think it would be strange to drop him now.
It is his batting that we need. I know people like SkySports who only watch cricket in England will say that he is a tailender, but he scores a lot of runs for us and without him, our tail is too long. Therefore, the only realistic replacement is Ashwin, who also bats.

England are in effect 16-2 with Trott injured. Game in the balance I think. A lot will depend on whether Bell can see the job through. Wickets have come in bursts in this match.
They have come in bursts, but the thing which worries me is that England bat so bloody far down. I just hope we have something realistic to chase rather than England batting us out of the Test here, which is a possibility with our inconsistent attack.

A good point. But carrying an inconsistent bowler for the sake of his batting isn't viable. Your top 7 is pretty classy in any case.

I was feeling the same way yesterday when one massive partnership could have almost determined the game. Such is the tension of low scoring matches I guess. This is a huge, huge session of the match for both sides.

Possibly, but this partnership is crucial. Not really expecting much from Morgan and Trott is crippled. So Prior and the tail could be in before you know it if they can break this partnership

India are so on the wrong side of the UDRS debate. The whole fact hotspot is not 100% accurate really establishes so little. What annoys me is when English fans will shout stuff like "on your way, Harbhajan, you decided not to have UDRS", as if it was his choice - that sort of idiocy infuriates me.
