*Official* Second Test at the Adelaide Oval

When MJ went up to stare at Jimmy, in one shot you could see in the background Clarke and Watson turning to each other and smiling before going up to congratulate MJ.

Norwood's on Fire
Right I really am going to bed now.

But just in case any of the following read this:

Cook
Root
Pietersen
Prior

Then you go **** yourselves yeah?

Trust me, Johnson's been capable of 150+ since he was a teenager. It's a confidence and technique thing. Surely everyone's noticed the huge difference in how he runs in over the last year or so?
Yeah, that's what I was trying to allude to. I'm surprised he's managed to maintain it for so long though. A lot of bowlers can only do it for a few over bursts. Post FC Shaun Tait for example.

Yeah I don't think I've seen as pure an exhibition of fast bowling in a long, long time. Dale Steyn does it with a mixture of prodigous movement and pace, but this is just raw speed
You hear a lot of people talk about 150kph bowlers, but this is probably the only time in ages that someone is actually bowling consistently at 150ks.

That's a quality shot. He's an absolute stand out ATM is Bell. Pains me to say it, but there we go. Shows what persistence with a bloke you pick at young age can do for him.

Come on England, don't give up hope. West indies have just saved a test from an equally bad situation. NZ didn't have anyone bowling 150+ though.... And you will need a third umpire who doesn't know the rules of cricket and some last day rain....

Haha, finally praising Bell once England are **** so its win-win.

Well played.

It's incredible to think that as well as Bell has played, he still needs ten more runs to equal Harris' first innings effort.

Only Lee to my recollection.

But that's it, ain't it? A bloke who can bowl 155Km/h for two overs then blows a gasket is often going to less useful than a bloke who can bowl 148-150Km/h for six and do it easily. With Johnson it's not just quick, it's classy, thoughtful and hostile. When he's like this, he's Marshall.

Geez Prior's really in a hole with the bat isn't he? I think it really does affect the team too, more than they'd let on.

haha no one else has taken a 6-fer in the last 20+ yrs at the Roadelaide! Makes Johnson's performance even more special.

Yeah. Pollock in '97 and Hoggard in '06 with 7-fer each from the top of my head. Amazing that visiting bowlers have had a good time here but only England and India have won here.
