*Official* Second Test at the Adelaide Oval

Jono

Virat Kohli (c)
This is ****ing brilliant. I didn't think Johnson would be this effective on an Adelaide deck. Great send off to Jimmy, couldn't happen to a nicer ****!
One of the all-time great send-offs. Didn't cross the line just did it perfectly.

Someone gif that.

It's just way, way, way too fast. England just have to spend the time before Perth facing up to 160kmh balls in the nets so they get used to it.
Yeah, it's a bit embarrassing really. Although I can't really recall someone bowling this fast this consistently in recent times, even Johnons himself around 2008 wasn't this quick. Wonder what's happened. Only thing I can think of is more drive through the crease and less of the cull of momentum he had three years ago.

I bet Carberry wasn't expecting to be padded up again so soon. Can we just keep Bell out there with him?

Wow, England are suddenly sooo bad. :-O For me the writing was on the wall when they almost (and deserved to) lost to NZ earlier the year.

Trust me, Johnson's been capable of 150+ since he was a teenager. It's a confidence and technique thing. Surely everyone's noticed the huge difference in how he runs in over the last year or so?

Yeah I don't think I've seen as pure an exhibition of fast bowling in a long, long time. Dale Steyn does it with a mixture of prodigous movement and pace, but this is just raw speed
