Yeah, Nasser was pointing out at Trent Bridge that he was getting out a lot playing with an angled bat away from his body. Did it quite a bit against New Zealand.
Yeah definitely, and it's compounded by his tendency to play completely needless defensive strokes at wide length balls. He's playing like an opener here, which is what the team needs.

Most of Harris's runs were scored when dinosaurs still walked the earth though; as has been pointed out many times, his batting really tailed away as his bowling picked up.
Yeah, his career is bloody bizarre. Pretty much turned from a pie-chucker to a lethal weapon overnight.
Ryan Harris averages more with the bat @ QLD than @ SA btw

Fascinating stuff, really. Australia have not looked deadly, they've just got three wickets with three decent deliveries. Pattinson been a bit loose and Harris and Watson look good but nothing more. I think some application will lead to a good third or fourth wicket partnership.

That Harris can hold a bat at all is something resembling a miracle. Was barely a number 11 when he first turned out for The Jets.

The Queen is definitely talking about how boring cricket is as a sport as she leaves.

"At least this year there's only one Test at Lord's".
