now that I think about it, there isn't a single batsman, Clarke included, who averages 50+ in Aus FC cricket below the age of 35 is there? You go up 5 or 6 years though and there must 10+. Amazing difference.

Year sure, ok. Does not change the fact you just totally ignored him then to suit your argument. Is easily ahead of Agar in his development as a cricketer.
Just what has Kerrigan done outside 2nd division to instill this confidence?

The guy was horrible on the Lions tour and cant bat

doesn't rogers average 50+ in england? 59.94 for derbyshire, 73.50 for leicestershire, 49.24 for middlesex and 50.34 for northants
Yeah that doesn't do much good if you are arguing SS is way better than CC. It is obviously slightly better as it is more condensed but to act like taking wickets in FC cricket means nothing is only something an idiot would do (i'm aware you haven't done so btw).

I don't know if he will be a success at international level but you brought up he guy averaging 85 and ignored the one averaging 18. That was my point really and thay you think every young Australian bowler is better than anything any other country has.

Have to say the one Aussie player I feel sorry for is Harris. Gave his all in that first innings and looks totally out on his feet now. Can't be easy after so many injuries to be back in the field so quickly with no proper rest and be expected to do it all again. Clearly he will only play one of the back to back 3rd and 4th tests as he isn't fit enough to play both but which one do they play him in?
You'd have to play him in the 3rd if fit. No point saving him until the 4th if we've already lost by then.

Really is amazing the confidence the Aussies still how in there bowlers. Perhaps the reason they look good in SS is because no one can ****ing bat.

Is the Clarke-Aus situation compared to what Lara went through during the latter half of his career? Clarke is not Lara but I think he might have it worse than him.

We shouldn't have saved him until the second. Can only help but feel the difference in him and Starc would have made up that 14 runs...

Yes, because we've only ever seen them in shield matches and now here in The Ashes.

The argument over the better team is over now, the debate over the validity of results in domestic cricket in either country still open
The only ones arguing the Aussies were better were a few deluded crims. We all told you you had a crap batting side and wouldn't cope with Anderson and Swann but you chose to ignore us.

How about against NZ when the batsmen were just as **** but the conditions weren't perfectly suited to him this time?
Those famous NZ bunsens where every spinner known to man bags a truckload of wickets?

A more intelligent comparison would be with the Indian spinners in the same series against England last winter. Plus they were bowling at poorer players of spin than Panesar was facing.
