Magrat Garlick

Rather Mad Witch
Cricket Web Black v Cricket Web Blue
at Pickford Reserve

Despite five wickets from Liam Camps, the run rate flew up as Harry Warwick did his best Wilshere-impersonation from number 9. An outstanding innings with twelve boundaries off 16 balls gave the Blacks a total well past 300, while Patrick, Fuller and Camps all suffered from his blade. Notable were also 92 from Alex Blackman and another one-day half-century from Simon Fitzsimmons.

Blue lost Cloete early, but Goff and Camps rebuilt, and by the end of the 15th over Blue were 96 for 1. However, Callum Thompson got the wicket of Camps for 40, and five overs later Pickup picked up a brace of wickets to see Blue struggling to 125 for 4. Goff was still there, but Pickup got rid of him as well, athletically caught by Thompson for 76. Thompson followed up to break the next Blue partnership, and with 137 needed for the last four wickets, Black looked to secure the bonus point. That was helped by Thompson's inswinging yorker that trapped Halsey for 4, but with Wilshere smacking twenty-three off a Thompson over, the target of 72 off 36 did not look completely impossible. Pickup got Collins lbw at the start of the next over, however, but that over cost 16 - leaving Hoy to save the day. He did, with a smart follow-through to run out Patrick, and leave Wilshere standing on 95 not out

Cricket Web Black 331/7 (50 ovs)
Cricket Web Blue 293 (46 ovs)
Cricket Web Black won by 42 runs

great win, we needed that, impressive batting display and then the bowlers did enough for us to get the cash... happy to get back in the runs in OD cricket...

Ouch
Warwick = unreal. Sean/Liam got pwned.

Unlucky Wilshere, another amazing innings, poor form by Nath not to hang around another 2 balls ;)
That game was definetly there for the taking until Warwick took over.

Disappointing to lose, and Smith has almost certainly been figured out for the moment in Dev Cricket, but it's a great effort to make sure we got a point.

I've lost track tbh. The quickest 50 is definitely one from this season, so whoever got the quickest 50 out of Halsey/Wilshere/Warwick I suppose.

I was calling you Mike since the first game you played. Don't you pay attention? g0sh. Why did you think I called you Matt "Mikey" Smith in my match reports?
It started as a slip but now it's a culture.

That's power.

You know me well enough to know I don't pay attention to anything.
