OD Round 6th April
Cricket Web Green v Cricket Web Black
at CWBCC Stadium
Black struggled from the outset on the spinning pitch in fine bowling conditions, and Rose induced three inside edges in his fine opening spell as the visitors crashed to 50 for 3. A brief cameo from Kearsley was stopped by Goughy, who emerged with fine figures of two for 29, and neither Butler, Dubb-Lynch nor Wilson managed to up the run rate significantly. Some relief came towards the end, however, with Thompson and Hoy putting on a fine 59 for the eighth wicket to pass 200.
A patient reply was enough for Green to secure the victory, as Black's bowling was out of control. Lezama top scored with 46 not out, while Garven, Bharanidharan, Malone and Extras all contributed over 25 in the Greens' surprise victory.

Cricket Web Colts v Cricket Web Red
at Goffmouth Park
Colts failed to convert a big start into a really huge total, as Sean Bennett took two crucial wickets and tied down Stephen Burke. Half-centuries from Towns and Jasotharan nevertheless took the hosts past 250, though after 83/0 in the 13th over that was hardly a surprise. Red approached the target with caution, though Stedman and Markus put on a gargantuan opening stand of 160; when McNamara broke it, Red required 94 from the last 92 balls. The new batsman Feeney took the task well, however, driving and cutting his way to a splendid 48 not out, and even though Stedman gave a tired catch behind on 87, Rob Dauth secured the victory with an unbeaten 30.
