Ooops, sorry. That's what happens when Neil gives you advice on bowling a sliderMr Mxyzptlk said:Red allrounder Gaurav Nayak was injured whilst facing Sean Bennett in the nets. He received a high full toss to the ribs, and will miss 2 game days with a bruised rib.
It happens quite a bit in Bangladesh from what i hear, i read somewhere the average age of the sqauds is about 23. Pretty much anyone that makes U19 level gets fast tracked. But thats just Bangladesh.Mister Wright said:There aren't many sides around the world where the more experienced players get dumped for rookies, unless they are in a major form slump or the rookie is just so good they demand being selected.
You could always ask the guy bowling next to yousteds said:Ooops, sorry. That's what happens when Neil gives you advice on bowling a slider
Indeed. Someone with talent.steds said:ODI player? you must have me confused with someone else
That's what I thoughtMr Mxyzptlk said:Indeed. Someone with talent.
The mere fact I've all along been talking about Tests renders all ODI talk irrelevant.Loony BoB said:Seems to me that, aside from two ODI players who are just having a bad season, everything is pretty much as you want it. The experience system that has been introduced is working quite well, at least in A-List
Maybe if you looked at what I am talking about rather than what you want to think I'm talking about?Loony BoB said:Looking at the FC, the last time I checked only four rookies made the top 40 bats, so I don't know what the big deal is there.
IIRC I had a lot of dialogue talking to people about the solutions, so I didn't just complain...Loony BoB said:But yes, although last season I tended to agree (although was never as whiney as you are, and actually bothered to produce solutions rather than merely complaincomplaincomplain)
Except there's not 18 new rookie batsmen.Mr Mxyzptlk said:It's actually 18.
I won't name the players in question regarding my issues out of respect for Liam and for the game.dinu23 said:can u name some rookies who have been exceptionally better than the older players, please?
Still not got over being castled by mine in the last onedayer then!!steds said:Ooops, sorry. That's what happens when Neil gives you advice on bowling a slider
hmm, sadly, i dont think my team will miss me very muchMr Mxyzptlk said:Red allrounder Gaurav Nayak was injured whilst facing Sean Bennett in the nets. He received a high full toss to the ribs, and will miss 2 game days with a bruised rib.
Well, when you make a point that actually addresses the issue, then it'll be debated.Majin said:Nice of you to completely ignore the point both Adamc and I made, Marc. Way to go.
Not true. We have photographic proof that Marc is not Aftab Ahmed, but is actually Merv Hughes.Majin said:Maybe Marc just doesn't like the thought that he is, Essentially, Aftab Ahmed.

Don't worry. In my debut season (was it Season 5?) I got dropped for a large part of it and came out of it with a bowling average of 40 or something or something.Blaze said:This thread already makes me cry tbh. I look at the blues scorecards, realise I haven't been selected, and then cry. Then I pick myself up, tell myself that patience is a virtue and that my day in the sun will be just around the corner and then the next game arrives and I check the scorecard, see that I haven't made the team and I cry some more.
It's a vicious cycle.
Exactly, and thats my point.Mister Wright said:There aren't many sides around the world where the more experienced players get dumped for rookies, unless they are in a major form slump or the rookie is just so good they demand being selected.
