Congrats to Rich who got 2 & 1, plus 0/65 and 3/21. Well done :p

GO REDS!!! Great form being shown by us.. good stuff. Also - Towns in suspiciously good form?!
Most #11 batsmen don't care about the runs they score 8-), three wickets to rock the blues middle in the 2nd innings to help take us to victory is a pretty good performance.

Go Colts! Good stuff!

Quick, we need lots of alcohol for Towns. NOW!

Still a good performance though :)

Bleh. That was really quite a strange game. It was always difficult to bounce back after conceding 430 in the first innings, but really we shouldn't have conceded nearly as much. None of the bowlers bowled particularly badly - we dropped ten first innings catches though (four off my bowling, I might add :p), meaning the bowlers had to do twice as much as usual.

The batting was pretty ordinary with one notable exception, quite an effort from Cribb to get 138 out of a total of 297. Brilliant stuff from Travis in the second innings with the ball, great return to the FC side from him. The scorecard pretty much says all that needs to be said about our second innings batting 'performance'.

My own performance was a little insipid, but not particularly terrible, I thought. 4-126 and 6 runs off 71 balls for the match, but could've been a fair bit better if not for a few dropped chances. I think that was my first time batting at #4 as well.

We'll get 'em next time. :)

On the contrary, most #11s take their batting incredibly seriously... see Glenn McGrath!
Agreed - after all batting at 11 and racked up more runs than Mr Sean Bennett... Promotion captain? :p

On the game...

Good win Reds, and enter a well deserved break tomorrow after several wins on the trot.

Shout outs to Iyer with his 70 knock in the first innings a good return to the FC team after some time out of the team. Jamee did well coming in for our man Hak narrowly missing out on the half ton in the first dig, unlucky mate. Some other good knocks from Kenneth, Ian and Mr Langley were pleasing to see.

Finally special mention to Ed, congrats on the reasonably successful debut - shakey first innings effort, but came back well in the 2nd.

Go Reds?

Great stuff, lads! Valuable contributions from our top four bowlers and solid knocks by a few of our bats, with contributions by most of the team. Always good as far as I'm concerned. :) Our batsmen still could improve, but we at least gave the bowlers something defendable, and we never let any of them really pull away in their final innings. Very happy with the bowling by each of the main four bowlers, brilliant stuff.

Also...

Third season, and again, despite hitting 100's in warmups / charity games, I can't pull through. Stranded on 92 and out for 94. God doesn't want me to hit an FC century.

First off well done Colts, played well and deserved the victory.

But greens that was a pretty poor effort alround...bowled pretty well in the first innings, the played poor in our first innings to only get 236, then bowled crap, then played crap in our last innings.

Need to lift green!

All this talk about #11's not enjoying their runs etc....i only got man of the match because I got 1* in both innings ;) Before that i've only ever been not out once :D

On a serious note, blues, I thought we played a bloody hard game of cricket for 4 days...and then something .... well .... terrible occured on the last day.
Our batting folded, in fact i don't even think we turned up? The other three innings we were right there, good cricket from both sides, until that last day mishap :)

Well played cribby, awseome innings :)

Great win Colts!

Very pleased with the perfromance and glad to hear that my suggestions are being implicated into games (regarding middle order).

Bad luck Daniel, you deserved two hundreds there. So much for the sim not taking batting positions into considerations... :-O
