Haha, sorry for naming another XI in your absence Alex, I thought the XI Liam was going to use was the same as our first match, and I thought it should be changed around a bit. At least it gave you the chance to shine with the ball. :D

Great to see Towns run-out at some stage of the match. :p

Woo 63 opening could be a worthwhile experience to become more versatile
If these games were actually taken seriously that is...

Pickup got a ton last charity series, I took 8-20 this time - does that tell you something?

You always have to be so negative in every thread I post something from a while ago and you bring it back up a few days later aimed directly at me and in a negative fashion.

Seriously Mate Jump Over a Bridge and be Positive for once towards me or other people.

If it wasn't Marc being hard on your case, it would be someone else. Such is life and having said that, get over it.

Crampton XI vs Dauth XI
at the Fardin Qayyumi CC

The Dauth XI finally broke their duck and squeezed home to a maiden victory of the Charity series. Liam Camps scored 35 not out in a one-wicket triumph, with only Reddlapalli to keep him company at the end of the chase of 222.

Six of the ten bowlers used by Alex Crampton took at least one wicket, and the Dauth XI entered the 37th over needing 84 runs from the final 84 balls of the innings, and with 4 wickets in hand. Dauth and Pickup launched into Crampton's bowling to score 16 runs between them. The dismissal of the latter just brought Camps to the crease and he continued the assault on his Blue team mate.

The advent of Collins just provided more fodder for the attack. He surrendered 24 runs from his first two overs. Indeed, it was the bowling of Daniel Towns that earned the crucial breakthrough. A loopy slower delivery was misread by Dauth and ended up crashing into offstump, completing a quickfire innings of 33.

Malthus-Howell then lofted Collins for six runs, but perished attempting the repeat the shot two balls later. Reddlapalli came to the crease with 5 runs still needed. To his credit he played calmly and ultimately handed the strike to Camps, who scored the winning run off his team mate in the 47th over.

Crampton XI 221-8 (50 overs)
DA Kearsley 36*, N Dravid 33, DP Towns 31*; CR Dwyer 2-13

Dauth XI 222-9 (50 overs)
DJ Watt/JNE Forner 43, LA Camps 35*; DA Kearsley 2-16

Dauth XI won by 1 wicket.
Man of the Match:
