Edge is the man at promos. 20 times better than Trips.
Heel Edge > Face HHH > Heel HHH > Face Edge, IMO.

Trips as a face is very funny and entertaining, love how he breaks kayfabe when he talks about Steph and stuff like that. However, by now we've heard everything that heel HHH has to say. "I am The Game, and I am that damn good." Yeah, we know...I think heel HHH was seen so much throughout the Evolution days and throughout the latter part of the Attitude Era that there's just not that much left for him.

Face Edge is pretty dull and never had that much going for him, but heel Edge I find to be brilliant. He's the most convincing cowardly heel around these days, and his gimmick gives him a lot of room to work with in promos etc. His feud with Cena produced some good promos, and at the end of the day, he still has the "Most Watched WWE Champion of All Time" stat to fall back on. I agree with him in his opening address as WWE Champion - "I am awesome."

"Totally REEKS OF AWESOMENESS 5 SECOND POSE" Edge will always be my favourite Edge, no matter what.

Love what they're doing with Edge ATM, but the "love of my life" side-story with Vicki is making me sick. They both make it look overdone and hard to believe - in fact, most times I find it hard not to laugh.

JBL's return = waste of time.

I wish they would drop the edge cowardly heel angle, and just make him a proper menacing heel.

whats stupid actually is how before he got injured and beat batista (fair and square) 3 times for the world title Michael Cole kept moaning saying how edge was just an opportunist, I dont understand why they use this to try and build him up as a heel, being able to exploit an opportunity is surely a good thing, for example when they had the cage match at one night stand that edge won by climbing out Cole just moaned and moaned for some reason, similarly when edge rolled up batista at vengeance or whenever it was....just stupid as in real life everyone would praise edge for being an opportunist, and slate batista for being so stupid, as it happens its the other way around...

although I dont really rate JBL at all other than on the mic I am actualy quite interested in his return, for one it will allow for a few fresh angles, rather than Y2J feuding with someone he already previously encountered for a start.

just seen the promo poster for no way out, looks like the elimination chamber has been given the final go ahead, and looks like jeff hardy will be in it as well, so guess thats a pretty conclusive spoiler that he will lose to Orton at the Royal Rumble.

ANyone know the last time someone held Heavyweight Championship and WWE CHampionship at the same time?

Also, what is the most number of titles held by one person at the same time?

yes i believe the last undisputed champion was brock lesnar.
On the subject of Lesnar, anyone seen his one and only UFC fight? He won it in like 53 seconds or something, he beat the living crap out of the other guy. I can safely say that Brock Lesnar is probably one of the people I would least like to come up against in a fight. The guy's immense.

yes agreed lol, shame he left the E on such bad terms really, could do with someone like him on the roster, no matter how much they shove lashley at us he is no lesnar, (and tbh i dont even think his mic work is that bad!)

Nah, Bobby doesn't have that air of unrestrained rage about him that Lesnar had. Lesnar really seemed to get a huge rush from doing a big move on someone - I watched his Stretcher Match with Big Show from Judgement Day '03 the other day. He did a vertical suplex on Show and then geared up for the F-5, and as he was doing so he looked about as pumped up as he could possibly be. He got a real rush from the crowd, I think. What Lashley needs is a heel turn, might let him get his inner beast out.

problem with lesnar was that I always thought he could end up much like kurt angle is nowadays, complete hardcore freak, determined to wrestle no matter what, and he did loads of botches towards the end of his wwe stint, which were dangerous to him and to his opponents lol. TBH i really dont have any problem with lashley at all, its just so obvious that WWE are trying to build him up in lesnar's image, when in fact he is nowhere near as good.

Yeah, I guess in some ways that probably led to a lot of botches. He thought he could do stuff but he couldn't.

I'm in your camp re: Lashley - I think he's decent in the ring, he just shouldn't have been pushed as fast. Needs more time to learn how to build a feud, I think.

well i'm back at work today and pretty bored, so started to think about my favourite PPVs of all time, so far narrowed it down to 4.....

Wrestlemania 16
pretty damn awesome if you ask me, very underated, the storyline going into the main event was pretty awesome, the match itself was pretty good, and had a great ending (even though the rock was meant to win but ended up being was botched somehow apparently), triangle ladder match was great, angle vs benoit vs jericho was pretty good as well, hardcore battle royal was also a lot of fun. Probably the PPV when the WWE was at its absolute peak for me.

Backlash 2000
Another great event, DX vs Edge and Christian was pretty decent way to open the show, Essa Rios vs Eddie Guerrero was a great cruiserweight contest, the hardcore battle royal was again quite fun, Jericho vs Benoit was another good match, Angle vs the Big Show was hilarious fun once again, Big show completely owning angle. But the main event was one of the greatest matches i've ever seen, back and forth all the time, Great rock bottom through the announce table, and austin showing up to get a huge pop and bringing about one of the best ends to a PPV ever, very memorable.

Wrestlemania 17
Similar to WM16 really, not just the big matches though, the matches on the lower/mid card were very underated, Guerrero vs Test, Jericho vs Regal and Benoit vs Angle(ok this one wasnt underated at all) were all decent matches, with the tag team TLC stealing the show, and a great main event, maybe the best ever.

Wrestlemania 20
Probably the last truly decent PPV put on by WWE, it was from here that the decline really began to take off, in fairness it had been coming for a while, but one gets the feeling that from here was where the wheels began to come off, then came off completely shortly after WM21, but anyway... some good matches on here as well, Cena vs Big Show was actually pretty good for a lower card match i thought, Jericho vs Christian I thought was awesome and very underated, crap endning to the match, but bah....Rock and Sock vs Evolution was a good match, great to see the rock back, and a decent ending I thought, although shame foley lost(again). Tbh thought Eddie vs Angle was pretty overated but still decent, HHH vs HBK vs Benoit was a pretty cool main event and the ending was perfectly done imo.

just seen this on youtube, sad really, as this pretty much marked the end of kane being any sort of credible force in the WWE, shows how his physical condition has deteriorated in the space of 2-3 years as well, such a waste.
Yeah, he used to be far less fat back then. Was in great shape. TBH I always thought (retrospectively speaking) they were missing a trick to begin with, not having Kane speak - I actually think he's got perfectly respectable mic skills, and there wasn't really much of a reason to make him mute to begin with aside from to build his character a little.

I mean, who could deny the genius of this promo? One of the biggest pops I've ever heard.
