JBL going out from behind the desk could actually present a problem, regal may be a decent option to replace him, as there isnt really anyone who can act as a sort of heel figure and work the mic well who isnt too tied up with in ring commitments, I imagine JBL will stay on as commentary for the time being, then probably get jumped by Y2J sometime in the coming weeks, to be replaced by todd grisham (or someone like that) on a short term basis, then the main replacement come in afterwards.
Whoever replaces him will have to be good, 'cause they'll have to call matches at WM. The best option they have on hand IMO, other than Regal, is Dusty Rhodes. Always a great talker. Although that'd make 3 face announce teams which is less than ideal.

yeah, i remember king used to be a kind of joke heel, but he's become a lot more pro face in the last few years, I hope to god they never try turn JR heel or something stupid like that, seen that kind of thing attempted in the past, always been a failure, and with JR this would just be plain wrong lol.

nothing to worry about though, as that will never happen.

If JR was a heel he'd only forget about it anyway, and start going on about how any use of a low blow was "wrong, dammit!".

I like this tag team of Henry and Big V TBH. Reckon they should get another member and just become the monster team who become some guys weapon. Could be gun.

Yeah, one thing that it does indicate is that the WWE are at least trying to reignite the tag division. First they put together Rhodes and Holly, now we have V and Henry, and last night on Raw, Carlito and Santino announced that they were a team.

One other thing which intrigues me greatly is that WWE.com has revealed that the two doppelgangers Edge used to regain his title at Armageddon were in fact The Major Brothers. The prospect of a stable led by Edge is possibly one of the best ideas I can think of right now, especially seeing as the Major Brothers have no gimmick to speak of and little mic ability, but are good in the ring. Wouldn't be surprised to see them with tag gold before WrestleMania comes around.

Like Kurt Angles old team?

Could be gun.

Tag teams are finally starting to look good again. But I reckon Rhodes and Holly is a little bit dire, mainly due to my pet hate of Holly.

problem I have with that is that neither of them can wrestle, even worse due to their size neither of them can take proper bumps, the fact that they beat kane and punk the oher night was hardly surprising but still irritating, agreed that the tag team division needs a revert though, annoyingly for me the best up and coming tag team in wwe was cryme tyme, but due to their untimely sacking its unlikely we will see them again, certainly not for the forseeable future, great shame really, as they were very good in the ring and decent on the mic, one of the bigger losses to wwe in the last 6 months I would say. As for Holly and Rhodes, as previously said this will end in disaster, probably losing the titles due to Rhodes doing something stupid and naive, which will spring to a feud with holly that rhodes will eventually win I imagine.

Ah, well aware they can't wrestle but when they are that big I think it's forgivable. Makes for an entirely different kind of match,.

Anyone else rate the Highlanders? Or is it just me?

awful gimmick imo, but seem to be ok in the ring.

I forgot to post - Edge won. 22-time champ it is. So, so gun. Second only to HBK as the best all-round talent in wrestling today, IMO. Has superb mic skills, can do any style of wrestling you can name - hardcore, high-flying, technical, cowardly heel-style - has a great gimmick which he carries off well and is one of the greatest tag team wrestlers of all time to boot. If the WWE have any sense he'll be in the World/WWE title picture for as long as he wants to be.

I find him predictable and boring. The fact that he is in main event contention so much shows the lack of depth now in the WWE.

I like Edge well enough but I don't rate him as high as you do. I would like him a lot more if he stopped doing the running hug as a finishing move. Everyone in wrestling for the last 10 years bar Goldberg and Rhyno has made the spear look totally ****.

yeah agree with this tbh, just backs up what I said earlier, edge just doesnt create any sense of authority/menace in a way that HHH excels at it, this is probably why I have to say the Edge/Taker feud really does not interest me.

I mean the way they build edge up as a fearsome heel, but yet his wins are always cowardly etc.... HHH on the other hand used to destory his opponents, edge runs in at the last minute, low blow, roll up, win.

Na Edge's thing is gun but certainly not against the likes of the Undertaker. The Undertaker is supposed to be some supernatural thing so Edge's 'clever plans' really don't mesh with the Undertakers persona, he needs a more honest face to really come across.

He also appears to be fairly accomplished (without being exceptional) in the ring, despite having a 'cowardly' character and he's a fair deal better on the mic than HHH. HHH makes a great man to watch in the ring but the build up's to feuds and so on I have never found particularly interesting with him. Besides that spectacular Flair vs. HHH while in Evolution for the title, that was brilliant.

HHH should be a champ though, give that man a belt, he looks better with one.

agree with that actually, a good point.

not so sure about this though tbh, the cowardly character for me means that he isnt a true top heel, no taking away from the fact that his ring work is great, but i wouldnt say he's better than HHH on the mic really, theres not much in it, but i slightly prefer HHH as i find edge often over does a promo and just comes across as putting on an act, whereas I find HHH completely believable.
