BTW, another kind of random thing to say, but did anyone else think that Taker's return to Smackdown! this year was one of the coolest things the WWE has done for ages? It gave me gooseflesh. Really good stuff that was.
Another 'mark out' moment. I personally liked Taker better as his original deadman character and then I understood his progression into the 'American Bad Ass'. I cannot for the life of me understand why he came back as the deadman.

Plus it limits him in a lot of ways, he can't sell any moves, he can't give promo's on the microphone, plus we don't get to see his awesome motorbike anymore.

Bring back Biker Taker!

Pretty much being 'overawed' by an event in Wrestling and not thinking too much about the 'behind the scenes' stuff, and just seeing and believing what's happening on TV and loving it.

A lot of Internet folk didn't like the Undertaker's re-transition back to his deadman character, but a lot of casual fans ate it up and loved it.

Speaking of behind the scenes, how does Taker get into the ring so quickly when the lights go dim?

I would have no idea mate. He could be underneath the ring just before that segment, and just climbs up. He could come from the crowd. But other than that, I wouldn't have a clue.

I'm happy to get swept up in it, I think that's a by-product of a quality show. It's not really different to watching a movie and believing the storyline that's in front of you... It's just for entertainment.

^exactly, I started watching to late to be a big hardcore internet fan, so I'll just ride the entertainment wave from here.

I only just got Foxtel this year, and even then I didn't watch WWE straight away. Although I remember a lot of the old feuds because I used to watch some bodgy program on free-to-air about 6/7 years ago that was about four months old and had almost no wrestling in it.

I think Cena as a face has been  to say the least. I think he needs a heel turn, in which case Orton's face turn could work. However, on the other hand, it should be the other way around, since we all know what Orton is better at.
If there's one thing I'll never do, its deny a successful move by the WWE. Cena as a heel was badass. He was very insulting with his rhymes, and he just oozed heelishness. However two things happened. 1) He had to cut down the controversial nature of his rhymes due to complaints. 2) The fans started cheering him.

Ring a bell? Austin ;) It's a carbon copy of what happened to Austin back in 97. Cena talking about "poopie" in his rhymes doesn't appeal to me at all, but I can't deny that the crowd have eaten up his face turn ever since late 2003, and its been very successful. Along with Rey, Taker and Eddie he's one of the most over guys on SD. I was at the SD international tour here in Australia, and he got the biggest pop of the night, not to mention Cena chants (real Cena chants not implanted cheers by the WWE since SD isn't aired live). So Cena's face turn has been successful.

Plus we have Carlito as the mid-upper card heel who has fitted in quite nicely to fill that void that I had when Cena went from an awesome heel to face.

I really liked Orton as a heel. As a face, he just seems too unreal. Especially that pose he makes with arms wide open, seems so

Now that kinda pose would suit perfect on a ****y heel, but with mixed emotions, it just seems, as I said, too
Almost all IWC people (I say almost because some have disliked him from the start) have begun to dislike Orton ever since his turn. Why? Because he has been royally shoved down our throat. Its taken months for him to actual receive real cheers, and yet Batista in one "hint" of a face turn received larger cheers. The WWE shoving a third generation superstar with the "look" (which is not as important in the business as the WWE make it out to be) down our throats will work. Well gee, if you show us one guy obviously main eventing Wrestelmania 21 around 6 months before the actual PPV, he's bound to get over.

Orton has potential, but there's no way in hell he deserves to main event the biggest stage in Sports Entertainment. 1) He's not ready yet, why can't the WWE give it a few years? 2) He hasn't earnt it. He's been given it.

I'm still recovering from the finish. Discussion to come later. If people don't want to know, avoid the spoilers. Don't worry I'll have a warning!

The first and last matches of Raw were the only things that made it worthwile to watch.

The Randy Orton/Diva segment was absolute garbage. They should've had Randy in some sort of match instead of showing us all that he's a ladies man. Absolute garbage that segment was.

I know a lot of you want Benoit to get the title, but it'll make for some more interesting television if Edge is somehow awarded the Championship.

Most probably next week they'll come back and have Jericho (GM), Triple H, Benoit and Edge in a fatal four way to decide who's champion with Triple H scampering through.

But I really do hope that Edge gets the belt, it'll make for some interesting television.

Overall Raw = 6/10

Mainly due to the absolute crap we had to endure with Randy Orton and the Divas.

Yes but haven't you got used to that diva garbage by now MB? Remember the Raw where there was an awesome battle royal for a title shot at SummerSlam, and the Iron Man Match between Benoit and Triple H on the same night? That was a great Raw... except:

For that stupid diva contest segment with Kamala. Here's what I do. When you get Diva garbage on the TV, you leave the couch, go serve yourself some cookies and cream flavoured ice-cream, and get pumped up for the main event. :D

And since no one cares about spoilers here evidently, I hope Benoit wins the belt and Edge beats him at Mania (Yes a heel winning the last match never happens except at WM 2000 with Triple H, but the SD title can have a face win and be the final match). It looks like the possibility of my Wrestlemania 21 card isn't too far off now is it boys? Especially with rumours that the WWE are considering Batista vs. Triple H at Mania.

Oh yeah

Batista vs Triple H, that'd be a match worth watching since Triple H vs Randy Orton has been done.

It could be also Randy Orton (Champion) vs Edge for the World Heavyweight Title, and then Triple H vs Batista, since the WWE will not forget Orton. I'd hope that Edge wins that contest though.

Triple H vs Batista doesnt need a Title around it, and really could either be a career maker for Batista (if Triple H puts him over) or it could be a career finisher.

I needed to give this thread a lift, it had sunk two pages lower!

Who do you guys think has the best wrestling 'enterance' of all time?

1. Triple H - the guy for me has the best enterance of all time, the intensity, the emotion, the anger, its all there.

2. Undertaker - Simply Bonechilling, classic/ministry Undertaker was awesome and even with his motorbike it was really enjoyable.

3. Chris Jericho - Who could forget the 'Y2J count'?

4. Kurt Angle - 10,000 people chanting 'You Suck' and the music, the pyro make this top 5 material.

5. Shawn Michael's - The pyro, the music, the energy, simply fantastic.

6. The Rock - Simply electrifying, so simple, no pyro, nothing, but so damn good to watch.

7. Gangrel - Coming out of the ground in the cage of fire holding the urn full of blood, simply fantastic.

Thats all I can think of now, what are your favourite enterances?
