I'm still buzzing over the moment Cena said, "...and it's someone who hates the Nexus as much as we do..." Because at that point it could only really have been either Danielson or Vince and I was sure it wouldn,t be Vince...what a moment
I'm buzzing too, it was an awesome moment. Finally a really good surprise on a PPV and it was outstanding. Bryan really was at the top of his game and was really solid in the ring and really looked like a huge star.

I think The Miz vs Bryan Danielson for the United States Championship should be a match made at the next PPV. Get the United States Championship on Bryan and move The Miz up to the main event to fight for the WWE Championship.

Who doesn't? I'm really looking forward to the Chris Jericho DVD. Would definitely buy that above a Shawn Michaels DVD if I had to make the decision. Ideally I'd buy both, but if I had to make a decision, I'd definitely go for the Chris Jericho DVD.
Yeah I'm thinking along similar lines. I really think both guys are great. But Chris Jericho has always been "the one" for me. Much as I love the Rock and a few other guys, there is none better for me than my Chris.

Interesting thing with Bryan is that he seems to put massive amounts of impact into his kicks - which is the main part of his moveset. I'd wonder whether this would put him better against big guys than small wrestlers. Against someone of his size, you'd think one of his moves would kill them, when comparing to a regular drop kick or regular kick to the mid section but against a big guy, it could really help tell the story in the ring of the underdog giving it his all. I've seen him put on top matches against people his own size, it is just something worth thinking about when you are trying to convert the undersized indie star into the WWE superstar that he very well could be.

He was certainly going at it hard, you could tell he was well up for it. Heath Slater sold excellently as well. Top work from both of them really.

To see him wrestle like that against a 300 pounder or someone like Khali would really be a sight to see, I think this is somewhere where he could be utilised as a giant killer, of sorts - of course, imbetween his five star fueds with comparitively smaller athletes. Heath Slater has always struck me as lacking personality and a bit weird, but in the ring, he did a great job with Bret and did a great job with Bryan, I think he could be a dark horse as a solid in ring competitor.

BTW, Darren Young has the worst finisher ever, though it is a close one between him and Otunga's stupidly weak slam.

MVP's finisher the worst I can remember. Don't think I have seen either of Darren Young or David Otunga's.

Darren Young did his on Kofi at the start of Summerslam, full nelson into a sideways facebuster sort of thing which is indeed crap, and Otunga's is just a really **** version of Farooq's spinebuster. I remember watching one of their attacks on RAW when they were doing all their finishers on someone, all getting "Ooooh's" from the crowd, and then Otunga comes in and does his and it was completely silent, was hilarious. Though you are right, MVP's is far worse than either of them.

Summerslam was awesome, Danielson is a complete hero. Enjoyed Ray/Kane a lot, especially what transpired at the end. Main event was Stellar, Bret's part was awesome, loved the whole thing. Great stuff, definitely going to tune in to RAW tonight and see what is going down.

Just watched the 7 v 7 again this morning. Even better a second time round. Reminds me so much of whta it was like watching as a kid and not knowing about all the booking etc... Was just top fun. The match was so well paced, and the crowd were so into it. Really liked the way it made literally evey single guy in the match look like a really top competitor.

I thought Raw was pretty good last night. A lot of wrestling and a good bit of building with the Nexus storyline. However, the Nexus thing is starting to take over the entire show, whereas I'd be a fan of a bit more variety between the main event and the midcard (Dibiase, Morrison and Truth away from this Nexus storyline, Usos, Hart Dynasty, etc).

Nexus being the whole show is fiiiiiiiiiine

You still have the Orton-Sheamus feud for the WWE title, and the Miz-Bryan feud that is developing for the US title. What else do you really need?

Plus it was only the whole show tonight because they needed six matches for them....

Anyway, Darren Young :(

GIMH, I'd love to hear your views on the reviews on Wrestlewrestle.com .

Was just watching some old stuff on youtube and the way the midcard ebbs and flows throughout the years really is striking. Ziggler and Kofi over the IC title is a good feud, but it doesn't come anywhere close to matching this.

Seriously, give it a try. There are a fair few videos and the Impact and TNA reviews tend to be more entertaining than the WWE ones, but he does have some interesting viewpoints and justifications.

Yeah, I've read a few of them. I don't agree with most of it, but an interesting read nonetheless.

I agree with a lot of what he says which probably doesn't surprise you if you've read them. Always a good read though.

My Main beef with that guy is that if a match has more than 3-4 people in it he automatically brands it a "cluster****" and then the highest praise he can give it is something along the lines of "this isn't bad for a cluster****". Each to their own I suppose, but this is one point of his that I really don't like. I agree mostly with what he says too however, though he does occasionally seem to be very harsh on a few matches which I have always thought were perfectly reasonable.

Mainly a fan of how he reviews booking (rather than actual matches) and absurdly poor segments/promos/interviews from TNA.
