Also, watching the Raw tribute show to Eddie, I could not help but be swept into all the emotion. I've never ever shed a tear whilst watching WWE, but this Raw many tears came into my eyes. I just couldn't take it anymore after hearing Chavo's and then Benoit's memories of Eddie.

It was a beautiful tribute, but it was so sad to watch. Eddie was an absolute champion and the tribute show was very well done.
****, that was hard to watch, especially Benoit's tribute. It was also great to see Batista, HHH and Cena give tributes, because it shows shows he touched everyone, big names to small names. Will Smackdown tomorow be another tribute show?

Yes, Smackdown is a tribute show to Eddie Guerrero. You can expect to see Chavo Guerrero wrestle JBL and Chris Benoit will wrestle Triple H. It's a can't miss Smackdown, and I'm sure it will be another very emotional night.

Yes. You dont get all the stuff which WWE releases and most of it is available in VCD format. At least thats true for the leading shops in Calcutta where my brother checked yesterday even and could not find the Eddie DVD among others like the Benoit DVD, the ECW DVD etc. Also ebay.co.in has very limited releases.

Just finished watching the Eddie Guerrero Tribute Smackdown, and it was just as good, perhaps even better than the tribute Raw.

The most memorable moments were Chavo's win over JBL, done in true Eddie Guerrero fashion. Chavo finished off the match by taking that 'ghost bump', tossing the chair in JBL's hands and acting like JBL had hit Chavo with the chair. Classic stuff! :D

Chavo then finished up with the three amigo's (the hattrick of vertical suplexes) and then hit the frog splash to a thunderous ovation. It was just a memorable moment and it was pure emotion.

The second memorable moment featured Chris Benoit taking on Triple H. Triple H came out to his enterance, signalling to the crowd that it's not about Triple H today, it's all about Eddie and it was a classy way to begin the match.

Benoit got a thunderous ovation as the man was clearly worn out emotionally. The two put on another fantastic match under the tragic circumstances, and showed once again that these two have great chemistry.

Benoit won by converting the cross face into a small package roll up pin, and got the victory. After the hard fought match, Triple H showed he's full of class as he embraced and hugged Chris Benoit and weeped openly in his arms for his fallen comrade.

Triple H raised an emotional Benoit's hand in victory, and then departed the ring, only to find Dean Malenko who has such a storied past with Eddie and Chris, to come and raise Benoit's hand in victory.

A classic way to finish a memorable night. Eddie would've been proud of all the guys.

I just finished watching the Raw tribute, man that was powerful opening, as was the interviews with wrestlers and the final scene of guerrero's shirt with Cena draping da wwe belt on it. Huge effect imo.

Really interested in how Smackdown will remember E.G!

After the untimely passing of Eddie Guerrero, WWE and the entire sports-entertainment community is steel reeling from the devastating loss of a champion. The initial autopsy reports on Guerrero have come in. WWE.com spoke with Eddie’s widow, Vickie Guerrero, earlier today.
“It was heart failure. It was from his past – the drinking and the drug abuse. They found signs of heart disease. She (the examiner) said that the blood vessels were very worn and narrow, and that just showed all the abuse from the scheduling of work and his past. And Eddie just worked out like crazy all the time. It made his heart grow bigger and work harder and the vessels were getting smaller, and that’s what caused the heart failure. He went into a deep sleep.
As soon as they saw his heart, they saw the lining of his heart already had the heart disease. There was no trauma, and Eddie hadn’t hurt himself in any way. It answered a lot of questions. I knew Eddie wasn’t feeling very good for the last week. He was home and kept saying he wasn’t feeling good and we thought it was just “road tired.” So we thought he just had to rest. It answered a lot of my questions, too, because he was just so exhausted. She said it was normal because the heart was working so hard.
When he didn’t call me last night and the night before I knew it was for real, because he would call me every night. I miss his phone calls. I cried through the whole thing (last night).
I loved his laugh. His laugh was the best.
We just celebrated his four-year sobriety last Thursday. We just thought we had life by the handful. We thought we had it all figured out. He worked so hard to make a better life for us.
I’m just overwhelmed by how people are coming out. It’s touched my heart a lot.
Everybody was just in awe last night in how beautifully everything was put together.
All my life was wrestling. All he did was take care of them and live for that. And I don’t know what to do now.”

Smackdown was an awesome tribute show. Batista began the show by driving to the ring in the lowrider, crying during his speech about Eddie, then placed the world title on the lowrider bonnet.

Eddie Guerrero was one of my favourite wrestlers growing up.

I still remember watching Eddie vs. Rey Mysterio, Jr. from Halloween Havoc '97 & being completely hooked.

The saddest thing is that it's just another wrestling death.

Just Another? There havn't been to many deaths in WWF/E over the years, only a few as i recall. Any it seems like this death was caused by actions earlier on in his life

Since I started watching, there's been at least 40 deaths and only a handful of those have been natural causes. Most deaths are due to the wrestling lifestyle -- steriods, drug abuse, prescription painkillers.

Man, the only time I ever cried before watching WWE, WCW or any wrestling program was the "Raw is Owen" tribute show to the late Owen Hart's death. Well I once again shed a tear (well that'd be a lie, I bawled my eyes out) during the Eddie Tribute Raw and Smackdowns. The emotion was just too much. All the interviews were so sad, yet at the same time brought a smile to my face because you could tell how Eddie touched all his co-worker's hearts. Also how much he cared for his family, who I can't imagine how they feel after going through so much with his well known demons of the past.

I had the privelege of watching Eddie wrestle live back in 2004 against Angle when Smackdown toured here. I didn't go to any shows in 2005, but I wish I did now just for the opportunity to see Eddie one more time.

I'm going to miss him. :(

Mate, so many wrestlers and former wrestlers have died in the past few years. 2003 especially had a lot of deaths. I remember almost every fortnight or so I'd check up wrestling news on the internet and always read about another one dying.

Off the top of my head in the past decade or so you have Crash, Road Warrior Hawk, Owen Hart, Brian Pillman, British Bulldog/Davey Boy Smith, Rick Rude, Curt Hennig/Mr Perfect, Chris Candido and of course Eddie Guerrero. Miss Elisabeth, Randy Savage's old manager from way back in the old school times also passed away.

One for Jono and all the Hitman marks. The Bret Hart DVD came out last weekend in the states.
Hell yes! Oh my I will be getting that. Adding to my very extensive WWE Wrestler Biography DVD collection.

I can't wait for a solid Angle one to come out too. I've been watching my Eddie one recently, with all the past matches. Especially his WCW cruiser matches and his WWE title win over Lesnar. I still remember marking out when that happened. Good times. :(

Anyone else heard the rumours that the WWE are putting a 'deathwatch' of sorts on a very high-profile superstar?

It is rumoured that if this WWE superstar was to die, it would dwarf the media attention that was given to Eddie. It is strongly rumoured that Kurt Angle is the guy that the WWE are very concerned about. Angle was told to retire about two-years ago by doctors, however he continues to wrestle. His marriage broke up quite recently as well, and I for one would be devastated if he was to die so young.

He should just retire now, it's not worth it.

Yeah it was posted above. I don't know whether to believe the rumour or not, but after Eugene/Dinsmore's recent incident the WWE are taking all precautions with their new drug policy.
