Got the 2002 mod earlier. Pretty much my favourite period in wrestling, so it'll be fun.
Found that they did have some on bobinc after all, is that where you got yours from? Is the mod of decent quality. I had a mod for 09 on TEW 08, but it infuriated the hell out of me, I continually got ratings of around 6.5 for RAW, and the network got rid of me because the ratings were too low, dire.

Also, is there any way on the booking screen when you are doing a show to filter out all the guys who are on a different brand? I know you can do this on 08, but I haven't worked out how to do it on this version.

masterblaster, you catch Smackdown? I was thinking of you during the Morrison-Teddy Long segment :D
Yeah, caught Smackdown and the little tribute was a nice touch even though both of them hardly knew the lyrics to the songs. Was a boring edition of Smackdown to be honest. The main event was good and the opening CM Punk promo was fantastic, the rest was average which was a little disappointing. Smackdown has been on a roll as of late producing great shows.

Yeah, can forgive Smackdown an off-week here and there, tbh I had a feeling it wouldn't be anything special, with an extra week than normal between PPVs it meant there would be a bit more filler.

I'm glad Jeff and CM Punk will go at it again at NOC, and I'm really enjoying Jericho & Edge.

Edge has been seriously injured at a house show during a match against Jeff Hardy. Apparently it's a torn achilles heel tendon and he'll be out for the rest of the year. It's a huge blow to the WWE as Edge is probably the best all round performer going around today. I hope Edge gets well soon and comes back even better.

That really is a huge blow, you just know that Edge was a major part of the plans on Smackdown leading into Summerslam, his involvement with Chris Jericho was really interesting, who is now unfortunately going to be left without a program. Some trades between the brands will have to happen now, which isn't really ideal seeing as half of ECW has now been moved to RAW. Though the news is sad, it doesn't come as any great surprise to me, apparently Edge had been working through pain for quite a while now and was exhausted, so this was going to happen sooner or later, I just hope he benefits from the time off and comes back as good as ever.

Yeah, he'll be on Smackdown which has already been taped I believe, I wonder what they will do the week after. The tag titles was already working out as a great idea, and I have been excited about an Edge-Jericho Summerslam showdown for quite some time now.

I wonder what they'll do with the tag belts and also what will happen with Jericho. Undertaker is due back around Summerslam I believe...

Apparently Edge had to apologise to fans because he couldn't complete the match, classy of him to do so though. If he is out for more than jsut a few months then watch for the roof to go off when he returns, they'll have no choice but to turn him face because the fans will have missed him and he'll be way over. Like when Triple H returned in 2002, he had been a superheel when he got his injury but I've never heard a pop like the one for his return.

Yeah in agreement with all of this, if Undertaker is fit then the most logical thing to do would be to go with a Jericho feud, which would be excellent, no questions about that, something completely fresh as well. I can only recall one time in all of watching wrestling when I have seen Jericho and Taker in the ring together, and that was on Smackdown back in 2000, Taker giving him the last ride.

But yeah, an Edge return could blow the roof off, esspecially if they can keep it underwraps beforehand.

I had read and suspected that they were planning on Jericho-Taker for Mania next year. What I would now do if I was in charge would be book Jericho & Taker for Summerslam, as discussed, and then have Edge come back and win the Rumble (if he's fit by then) and defeat Jericho for the title (obviously he'd have to win it somewhere down the line for that to happen!) at WrestleMania. Which, now that I think about it is exactly what Triple H did when he returned from injury!

But when Edge returns from injury, he will have the fans behind him and get straight into a feud with Jericho by blaming him for his injury, saying that it was caused by carrying Jericho in the tag matches they had together, or something. Or just that all he's heard while he's been away is Jericho going on about him being the face of Smackdown, etc etc

Yeah, sounds like a good idea, I think it would actually be better to have Undertaker/Jericho at Summerslam, that way they can open it up to have Undertaker/Cena at Wrestlemania, which is something I would really want to see.

Face v Face, or Cena as the heel, though I think that is very unlikely, will almost certainly have to be a Face/Face thing, and tbh, I wouldn't mind if Cena broke the streak tbh.

Cena doesn't need to break the streak for mine, and I'm someone who subscribes to the opinion that the streak shouldn't be broken.

Edge going down is massive, and yeah he will get an absolutely monster pop when he does return. They'll probably be forced to vacate the titles which could result in a nice three-brand title tournament, or they'll find a way to hotshot them to DiBiase/Rhodes. Would prefer the former.

Bummer about Edge. Agree with Gimp re coming back as a face and the response HHH got in 02, was massive (as was Hunter).

Reckon Cena and Taker would be face vs face but the dénouement would provide the reason for one to turn heel - maybe Taker wins to keep the streak intact but does so in a way that puts Cena over and makes him (taker) a heel?

Taker vs Jericho would be good to see.

You should come and post round here more often Matt...

Yeah, Taker V Cena would be massive, I guess you could do something to have one of them turning heel at the end or whatever, like Austin v McMahon. The problem is, though, that I reckon either of those two would be cheered as a heel anyway

I don't think Cena needs to break the streak, neither do I think he should particularly, but I wouldn't be too upset if he did. Like you I would rather the streak remained intact, but at the same time, if someone has to break the streak it surely has to be Cena, there is simply nobody else who I consider even coming close tbh.

I dunno, Cena seems to get so much legit heat anyway that he would probably get enough boos to make it credible, that said, I very much doubt it will happen, Cena is a massive draw for all the kids in the crowd and provides massive profit for WWE with all the lunch boxes etc.. they sell with his face on the front so I doubt they would want to risk losing that kind of money by turning him heel, at the current time anyway.

Cena and some other WWE wrestlers were at Highpoint Shopping Centre today, near where I live.

4 years ago would have definitely been down there going nuts. Sort of miss being a huge wrestling fan, but just can't bring myself to getting back into it.

Aw go on, you know you want to ;) Just catch this weeks episode of Smackdown or ECW and you'll be hooked again, just stay away from RAW.
