Haven't seen the ads on Fox8, but I've seen all three ads on the Internet.

The Basic Instinct, and Braveheart ads are the pick of the bunch for me.

@Jono, I've seen all the ad's except the Eugene one, I loved the Keibler one especially with Christian's contribution and the Pulp Fiction spinoff was great too. Sorta ruined one of my favourite ever movie scenes but what the hey!
I just found out (it said on Raw) that all trailers are available on the WWE website. Go here: http://www.wwe.com/shows/wrestlemania21/trailers.jsp.

There's 4:
- Pulp Fiction
- Basic Instinct
- Braveheart
- Forrest Gump

They're all great fun. What amazed me most about the Pulp Fiction one was how identical the guy that was playing Brad (you know, the one that gets killed in the end) sounded to the actual actor in the movie. Its amazing.

I just saw the Braveheart one Sangrah was talking about. LMAO @ Flair in that. Him and the donkey. Triple H is great too, "Are you sure William Wallace road a donkey"

Basic Instinct is hilarious, Christian proves again that he is God himself.

So the WWE can really pull off two real good Wrestlemania 'Face Moments'.

You would think Cena will end JBL's title reign and Batista should go over Triple H. But no doubt the Batista vs Triple H match should be the last match of the night and the last on the card.

For me, the World Heavyweight Championship > WWE Championship, and a Batista vs Triple H match would be a safer bet than a Cena vs JBL match as Cena and JBL are both technically very poor wrestlers.

Usually they have the Rumble winner have the last match of the card, so it'll be Batista vs. Triple H.

Why Batista is the WWE's saviour:

The 10 minute overrun from Raw this week did a 5.0, which is the best quarter that WWE has done in some time. That means that fans tuned in to see the big Batista turn and it drew a monster rating, up nearly a full point. If you give the fans an interesting storyline, they'll watch. If not, ratings will sink back to the low 3's.
I find it funny that Batista is 100 times more over than Orton ever was, and Batista only started receiving a push in around November, whereas Orton has been pushed to the moon since 2003. Amazing.

Here's one for The Hitman marks.

Bret talks about his stroke
I just watched that. Man, ever since Montreal Bret's life has been on a landslide. I remember when I first heard about his stroke, I couldn't believe it. Seeing him in that video is so weird, because my images of Bret always consist of him with his sunglasses, black leather jacket and greasy long black hair kicking ass in the ring. Its amazing that about the time of the screw job he was 40, so Bret's almost 50 now. Still hard to accept.

Despite all the tragedy for Bret since the screwjob (deaths of his friends and family members, stroke etc.) Bret's recovery from the stroke has been amazing. He is and will always be a champion. I just hope one day he gets what he deserves, and is inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame despite what happened.

On that topic, its great to see 'The Hot Rod' Rowdy Roddy Piper inducted in teh HOF this year. The Piper's Pit used to always be one of my favourite segments. He's one of the most influencial wrestlers ever. What he did for wrestling in the 80s was huge, but is unfortunately always outshadowed by Hogan's amazing accomplishments back in that era.

Hehe, I loved RAW a few weeks back when that JBL interview was shown on the Tron. What a quote by JBL sbout Batista. Made me laugh!

JBL: "He's built like Tarzan, I'll make him look like Jane."

Brilliance!

Oh, and happy birthday to Naitch! 56 today. Good on you Ric.

Have you got the Eddie DVD? The matches on that are absolute gold. Makes me reminisce about the good old days of the WCW. His matches against Jericho, Chavo at BATB and Mysterio at Havoc were awesome.

If WWE 24/7 ever comes to Oz I'd order it just for the WCW cruiser matches and the Bret Hart matches/feuds.
Hey Duffer, I've been meaning to tell you this for like 2 months now but I finally picked up the Eddie Guerrero DVD one day when I was at JB Hi Fi. It's frickin' awesome, and the feeling of nostalgia whilst watching is great  I also picked up the Rise And Fall Of ECW when I bought the Guerrero DVD too. That DVD is sooooooo awesome. The WCW Monday Night War DVD was good, but you could tell there was bias there. The ECW DVD goes all out letting Heyman say whatever he wants. There's swearing, tis all uncensored and its so funny seeing Bischoff and Heyman have a go at each other.

One of the best thing that has happened since the WWE bought WCW has been the fact that the WWE have been able to use the old school WCW (and ECW) footage to make awesome video clips and DVDs.

That makes my WWE DVD list (as can be seen in my sig along with my other DVDs):

WWE - Best of Confidential, The: - Vol 1 (2003)
WWE - Bloodbath: Wrestling's Most Incredible Steel Cage Matches (2003)
WWE - Cheating Death, Stealing Life: The Eddie Guerrero Story (2004)
WWE - Hard Knocks: The Chris Benoit Story (2004)
WWE - Rebellion (2002)
WWE - Royal Rumble (2004)
WWE - The Monday Night War - WWE Raw vs. WCW Nitro (2004)
WWE - The Rise and Fall of ECW (2004)
WWE - The Ultimate Ric Flair Collection (2003)
WWE - WrestleMania XIX (2003)
WWE - WrestleMania XX (2004) + Mania of WrestleMania, The (Documentary) (2004)

Next I need to get the RVD: One Of A Kind DVD, plus a few others. Have you heard if WWE - The Best of Intercontinental Championship Matches (2005) is any good? That seems like it would be awesome. Imagine what could be on that DVD. Randy Savage vs. Ricky Steamboat from Mania 3, Bret vs. Mr Perfect from Summerslam 91, Bret vs. Piper from Mania 8, Bret vs. Bulldog from Summerslam 92, Razor Ramon vs. Shawn Michaels from Mania 10, Rock vs. Triple H from Summerslam 98... the list goes on.

Do you get the extras though? I could download all the DVDs there, but the extras are the best bits. :)

Can you download The Rise and Fall of ECW Jono?

I've been meaning to get that for so long, but I can't find it anywhere on the Internet or anywhere in the shops!

Don't worry mate, I got a hold of it and am watching it as we speak.

Paul Heyman is a genius. What was Vince McMahon thinking when he took him off the SmackDown writing staff.

Hi

Whats everyone here's favourite mid-card match?

Mine would have to be Christian vs Jericho vs RVD at Unforgiven '03. Great stuff by all of them!

Welcome Lance to Cricketweb. It's great to know that your first post on these boards was in the ever so great Wrestling Thread :D

My favourite midcard match? Well I'd say British Bulldog vs. Bret Hart at Summerslam 1992 for the IC title, but the thing is, since that event was in England, it was the main event of the show so its not exactly a 'mid card' match :p

Chris Benoit vs. Chris Jericho Ladder Match for the IC Title at the Royal Rumble 2001 sticks out in my head as one of my favourites, along with Bret Hart vs. Rowdy Roddy Piper at Wrestlemania 8.

I know. How awesome is that DVD? They go ALL OUT with no bullsh*t.

Vince McMahon, Eric Bischoff and Paul Heyman all working for the same company, and yet we see so much crap. They've all made their fair share of mistakes and stupid angles, but have all equally been responsible for pure brilliance. Bischoff and the nWo, Vince with Hogan & Austin and Heyman with the extreme style which was foreign to everyone at the time.

I really wish they actually did a proper angle between all of them. The Invasion bombed big time because the WWE made the WCW and ECW guys look like crap, but just once I wanted all 3 of these men to have a staredown in the ring. Heyman's shoot promo to Vince in 2001 was absolutely off the charts, and I remember at the Rumble in 2004 when Heyman was GM of SD he and Bischoff had a staredown (and a silly brawl lol). But if they just had an all out shoot at each other, it'd make for some awesome television.
