Nah, I need to check that out. Ambrose is really good yeah. Hope to see him in good storylines. Bryan is brilliant, but a little too PG sometimes.

In-ring action nowadays is better, definitely. But that doesn't mean anything if you don't couple it with good storylines and rivalries. Also, one of the reasons for downfall is that they never replaced JR!

The problem has never been making a newbie the champion. The problem has always been that they feud the newbie against over the hill useless pieces of crap like Big Show, instead of doing the proper thing: feuding them with top guys like Cena and Orton or feuding newbs vs other newbs to elevate them both. So I do agree wit you that the feuds overall suck plenty.

And which newbs are you talking about here? Sheamus and Del Rio were duds but Bryan and Rollins who are the only other "new" faces who became champs absolutely 100% deserved their title wins.

I honestly reckon Del Rio was the biggest missed opportunity WWE has had in recent years -- the guy was class. I suspect it was more-than-partially his own doing via an oversized ego, but he had the look, he had the in-ring skills, and he could talk.


And seriously harsh, go watch NXT since TakeOver: R Evolution. Kevin Owens is the most natural dick heel you'll ever come across -- absolute class. And Sami Zayn has that Bryan-esque ability to connect with fans ridiculously easily. In some ways, I'm disappointed that they're feuding in NXT at the moment -- I want a Steenerico main event at WrestleMania dammit!

Yeah, agree on del Rio. The guy is so brilliant on the mic if he's just allowed to do his thing. Shame his WWE gimmick sucked.

Remember Jack Swagger and The Miz becoming champs. Was a joke for a while with Shaemus there too. Would really like Orton to raise his game and include more moves in his repertoire.

Swagger was WHC, not WWE champion... big difference. Sheamus and del Rio were indeed pushed too early, but it still could have worked if they'd given them interesting gimmicks, which is the actual problem, because Sheamus and especially del Rio are immensely talented.
