*Official* Pro-Wrestling Thread II

To answer duffer seriously, I don't think anyone in this thread really fits the demo they are aiming barbs like that at. For me it's the types who say things like what I said about Bryan being ruined at last Mania, who think they absolutely get it and don't

We all have strong opinions in here, very different but I don't think anyone really tries to profess to absolutely know what's going on. And that's the difference IMO, and why this thread is legitimately the only place I ever constantly discuss wrestling, because the other places where I dip my toes in now and again just wind up irritating me.

you're just a kliq fanboy.
Says Mr 'Nash ending the streak is my favourite wrestling moment ever (other than the time a murderer won the belt)'

I'm a huge HBK fan. HHH, wouldn't say I'm a fan, I like a lot of his work and dislike a fair chunk too

Nash, meh. Hall, meh. Pac. Great promo on his first night back in WWF. And erm, well, his tag team with Kane was okay, I guess.

Defo a kliq fanboy me.

Not really sure why I answered as I know you just say these things to troll me. And it works. Goddamn. I'm being outsmarted by Jono. This sux.

gotta question why GIMH's daughter loves john cena but not cricket.
She supports Tranmere Rovers if it helps. Think that's enough fail in an eight year old's life to deal with.

She's not allowed to come the match tonight, or watch wrestling all week, for bad behaviour. Mum's orders. Brutal punishment.

Put her twin sister in the STF

Either that or giving cheek and throwing tantrums. Not sure. I wasn't there. All I know is I can swear freely at the match tonight.

Actually, the fact that it was perceived to be a foregone conclusion that Taker would win was what made the streak being broken that monumental. Maybe 5 people in the world thought Brock would win that day. I always believed it had to end... just didn't know how. It's the ultimate shock and awe moment and it would've been a waste if they had never done it.
Of the post 2005 WM matches, what was the one that people actually thought the Undertaker would lose? It's one of the Triple H ones isnt it

The first one against Shawn, maybe? I legitimately thought that one could go either way -- HBK could have believably ended it around that time IMO.

Before the match? No way IMO. During it of course I did at points because it was just so damn good

Same with the second really

Haha oh dear.

Gun that she likes wrestling though. I wish I could forget everything I knew about it and go back and enjoy it like I did when I was younger.

Edit: @GIMH regarding his daughter's punishment.

Yeah, exactly the same here. Shows how good all those guys are at telling stories in the ring tbh. During the first HBK match there were a few times where I really thought "****...this is it." There was that bit in the 2nd encounter with HHH where HBK superkicked Taker who then turned around and walked into a pedigree. Really thought it was game over at that point as well.

Edge at 24 maybe? I don't think anyone actually expected HHH to do it, did they?

Didn't buy for a second HBK at 26 (regardless of how great the match was) or that HHH would win at 27. However, as mentioned, there were moments in 25 and 28 when I legitimately thought "Holy **** they're going to do it". Specifically when HBK kicked out of the tombstone at 25 and the Pedigree+SCM sledger mentioned.

The Edge match is underrated as hell, btw.

Why the **** was it not over when Taker got super kicked and then pedigreed?
Coz it's taker at WM. Best. Kickout. Ever. (Well, 2nd after HBK's tombstone kickout. ) And there was no delay between the pediree and the SCM, the referee counted a fair, fast count, there was nothing to say that Taker would kick out in that moment.
