Owens vs Zayn would be fantastic with the world title but the top of the card is so stacked. Kind of hope that we get it at Summerslam (KO to steal a belt post Mania and Zayn to chase)
Yeah I was thinking this on the way to work this morning. KO is awesome and deserves a top match/feud at a big show, ideally for a world championship. But because this coming WM is already going to be absolutely stacked with big matches as it is, he risks falling through the cracks/getting lost in the shuffle (for like the millionth time).

WWE's main roster is generational rn. It's been that for a while but everyone's peaking together now and everyone's in everyone's ****. Can't remember it being this busy and worth investing in since the late 90s.

Yeah they are spoilt for choices for WM matches this year, and that's even with Rock probably (I guess never say never after last year) not being involved.

Also lol at the hate Jey Uso winning is getting in some circles. How dare WWE push pretty much the most over guy they have on their entire roster right now?!

More releases by WWE, 8 and counting so far.
This even more makes those people who dont want other companies to succeed even more daft.
I like Bea Priestley would be interesting to see her in AEW.

I mean the biggest surprise with most of these that they were actually still on the roster. Apart from Deville, I had assumed most of these were cut long ago.

Absolutely loving Harley Cameron's segments at the moment. What a performer - she sings, does ventriloquism, does comedic character work. Can't wrestle a lick but they need more characters.

Was reading some posts from AEW haters saying they've actually been bad for the business by gutting the Japanese and the indies of their talent and then letting them all sit on their arses because they have way too many wrestlers to actually use them.

Was an interesting perspective, although I was under the impression that their wrestlers were still doing the rounds on Japanese shows and in indies when they're not on AEW shows.

Granted she wont put on 5 star matches but she has improved. Plus I have seen worse.

Doesnt AEW use the talent in ROH as well ?

And just like that, Logan Paul has the best-looking finisher in WWE. I was waiting for McAfee to call him budget Ozymandias but dude's a real natural.

Edit: Not original apparently but eh, he did it very explosively anyway. Wonder how that process works. Do trainers turn wrestlers onto it or do wrestlers have any input on their finishers? I doubt someone like Paul's been scouring obscure Japanese wrestling for finishing moves.

Starks is brilliant and a personal favourite. Really sad that he's been off TV for so long. Now watch the E turn him into something.

For all that's said about AEW's deep roster, they've lost some good ones. They've also raided Japan for some replacement talent but I miss the old ones

Despite the WWE rosters being absolutely stacked these days, and so many great talents, the WM build (and rumoured card) feels a bit uninspired to me this year somehow. There is still time for that to change, of course, and sometimes the WM cards that look quite bland on paper turn out to be great shows (e.g., WM 31), but ergh I dunno... It all feels a bit pedestrian, and lacking that one really big storyline, compared to last year.

On a related note, I really hope they go for Cena vs Cody for the belt as the headliner. That would certainly add an appeal to me. Cena vs Logan Paul (i.e., the other big rumour doing the rounds) would be a good match and programme, but it's not what I would consider a great option for Cena's final ever WM.

Cena's new (?) deer caught in headlights schtick is teeth-chattering cringe. You're a double-digit world champ ffs, and a movie star of minor but not inconsiderable note. Nobody's buying this overwhelmed fanboy gimmick.

I watched that 30-minute long compilation of his roasts again though. If there's been a greater mic dropper in wrestling history, I know him not.

Yeah I'm not a fan of it either tbh.

But tbf it does makes sense when you think about it. I mean the E could make out (in Kayfabe) that he's still an absolutely dominant elite tier performer, but you only have to watch him in the ring for a few minutes to see that he's (irl) absolutely washed.

This ain't the John Cena of 2012. It's not even the John Cena of 2019. Father time does no jobs.

I still hope he gets to face Cody at WM though, and that he beats him.
