Was just a token thank you to Mysterio, as if anyone other than Cena should have had the belt for Punk's return. Neither were really champ anyway IMO, though the official lineage does recognise both Mysterio/Cena + Punk as simultaneous champs.

Did you not watch WM8. Having little knowledge of WCW at that point (though I did have a toy WCW ring as it came with a cage so was better value than the WWF one) I had no idea who Luger was and was bored to hell with Vince interviewing some geezer from a random bodybuilding fed, as the mark in me saw it

Came off like a slap tbh. Why noot just let Cena win the tournament instead of Rey? Hated kayfabe Cena so much that day... what babyface demands a title shot 1 hour after another wrestler goes through a tournament to deservedly win the championship. WAC Cena is.
