Big day for Roach and Bishoo tonight. Obviously a disappointing performance but this pitch is doing all sorts of tricks so I don't think they're out yet. Of course I'd be a little more confident if they had some more fire power in the bowling

Yep, very solid 12 - the fact that Sammy (captain fantastic) batted with less temprament and responsibility than the youthful Roach, who is supposedly the worse batsmen speaks volumes...
So much depends on Roach's opening spell a couple early wickets and then a bit of pressure built from the accurate Bishoo and we could have a chance at being even come the end of the day 2... If opening bowlers dont perform they could get away from us.

Agree. It'll be interesting to see how much the pitch deteriorates as well. Could be a minefield to bat on last

Everyone knew the wicket was going to favour the spinners yet the Windies still only pick 1 spinner and Devon Smith. No surprises to see Brendan Nash fail, guy is a road warrior, the West Indies Daniel Flynn. Also, why is Ravi 100+ test bowling average Fatpaul playing?

120-2 suggests that this pitch isn't too tricky with some concentration while batting and without Ajmal. Pakistan's batting isn't the strongest but neither is the Windies bowling, and Pakistan should put together a decent lead tomorrow.

Tbh I just don't think he bowls as well in ODIs

Tbh roach with a little assistance from the pitch can cause enormous problems for this frail pakistani batting line up.He troubled kallis and ponting plenty so the professor and toffee prince shouldn't be insurmountable for him.

he bowled really well in Sri Lanka too. He hasn't looked great since getting sick in India though

Yup. The Pakistan batting is pretty frail and the pitch has pretty inconsistent bounce. If the Windies bowlers are able to exploit it then they stand a good chance.

Ajmal doosra is pretty painful to watch he looks a good bloke and is an exceptionally skillful bowler but that doosra should not be allowed it's one of the many things that makes this game look a farce.

god we will miss Younis on this track easily our best bat against spin hopefully the young guys step up a lead of 100 should be the minimum target,Bishoo will be a handful.

Azhar Ali and Misbah will be crucual when we bat.Both are very composed,and have the temperament to stay out on the pittch for long periods.I hope Azhar gets a ton soon.He's played some very good innings off late and he deserves a big score.Also,the same goes for Asad Shafique.Very talented player with the temperament to go with it.

Sammy is ruining the team's balance - can't bowl, can't bat. They are better off playing a proper bowler in his place, or even a proper batsman (anyone who can score more than twelve). Hope he's around when we tour though.

As long as Pakistan play Bishoo with caution, they'll win this one without breaking sweat.
