It was the matter of speach cuz I never liked Azhar Mehmood for some strange reasons .
1. I thought that when there is such a beautiful talent available then what is the need of playing Azhar (W's time)

Azhar Mahmood was always a very good batsmen, only problem has been that he has always been asked to bat at eight or ningth slot where all he can do is throw is bat around.In todays match, in which Pak was struggling, he should have batted up the order and Afridi should have been sent down the order.

Looks to me that Akmal is asked to open the innings just to justify his inclusion in the team, as the other keeper in the squad must surely be better behind the wkts (any keeper in the world must be better than Akmal right now).I think Malik should open the innings with Nazir in remaining matches, if Nazir comes good then Pak can retain him for WC, otherwise they should dump him and get Salman Butt back into the squad

For me Afridi has to open cuz his skiers often get into the hands of the fielders fielding outside the circle . It's worth a try cuz now I guess he is much better than what he was when he used to open .

Also something which i did not know about but there was a bit of a run in between Imran Nazir and Andre Nel. However, both players were not fined but both teams were spoken to about keeping emotions in check.

PS. I just read that Mohammad Sami is injured and now Mohammad Asif has developed an elbow injury. There go our chances of winning this series.

For this bold'd statement I nominate this post for I*** award . hehe ... Anyways yes Asif's injury is a big big blow and especially just before the WC and for me this series is meaningless and I want WC ,and thats it . 1999 was their last big chance and they blew it . btw Nel made another mistake by picking up a youngster looking guy to bully his house bred taunts and words . He misjudged this whole team all together . He tried out every one, one by one and when he realized that senior players are like a bee nest then he decided to go at the youngster but guess what the youngster, insulted him back . hehe .. Go Nel find another team !!!!

Pak 94-7. Pak have packed the sides with batsmen and allrounders yet struggle to put up a respectable total.

Kamran Akmal made great contribution with bat in his fourth successive ODI.Why the guy is being asked to open is beyond me, if Akmal opens with Nazir for Pak in WC, then it might well be the worst opening pair in the cup .

Having already lost Akhtar to injury for all imp WC (he's out of cup coz of knee injury), these sorts of performance are further going to create panic in Pak camp. Most of their fasts bowlers are injured, their batsmen are struggling badly and they have no clue as to what should be the opening batsmen for the all important WC.

I think pak is the only team that seems to be in total mess going into the 2007 WC.
