Mitchell is looking a long way from the batsman circa 2022/23 across all formats.

I hope the selectors don't continue to see him as indispensable, I feel he's lost that right in the last 12 months, the same way as Conway did.

Maybe they feel like Sumo, who continues to say 'he has hands like buckets' when in reality, he's dropped a **** ton of catches in the last 12-18 months.

I think that would be a potential influence in someone making a squad over someone else, say if Young and Conway were fighting for a CT squad spot, but when they're both there I would think Stead is going with the guy who he thinks is the best suited to the conditions, is over 30 years old, and ideally from Canterbury.
