*Official* Pakistan in New Zealand 2020/21

What a needless run. Pakistan close to getting a wicket at least twice in the last couple of overs, that would make the new ball pretty interesting. NZ need to be more ruthless here having got themselves into this position.

I'm sure I've seen plenty of third umpire run outs given in that circumstance ... call was right, but do they always go to that level of detail?

Pakistan by scoring way too quickly in the first dig have shot their own foot. Plenty of time left to set up a massive score and bowl them out in the second gig. In case Pakistan scores reasonable in the second dig we'll still have time to chase.

I get that accelerating a bit is nice but we don't have to be reckless. 4 an over grinds them into the dust imo.

I guess kane is really pushing for the win because of the test championship. Hmmm

Actually one thing i have noticed with KW's captaincy is that he does try to hit a bowler out of the attack before the second ball, i guess in an effort to make sure the strike bowlers are overused before the new ball.

a few weeks ago, I told my best mate how much I really didn't (and still don't) rate Henry Nicholls, and the **** has gone on to score a tonne, a 70 odd and well on his way to another one ffs

Given there’s doubt about getting a full five days in, ironically scoring nearly 300 on day 1 should have worked in Pakistan’s favour. Looks like they haven’t made the most of their opportunities today.
