Southee with a gem here. Perfect situation for him as can just use his natural timing rather than his none existent defensive game

Dropping it short to Southee is the trap - because sure, you have a chance at getting him out but he has a chance at hitting you around... If you just focused on hitting the stumps, he'd eventually waft at one and get himself out.

Whoever the **** in the NZ Camp is responsible for this batting - playing at the fifth line with a bowler going across you when it's short is ridiculous.

Ryder hasn't been able to score much in Div 2 county cricket. A canny bowler but a long way from a Test match player now

I think a 50 run lead makes the game about even. Looks like a 250-ish pitch but poor batting yesterday and good bowling to a non-test class NZ middle / lower order today (apart from BJ) has meant low first innings scores. 2nd innings Pak attack has the Yasir Shah advantage, think this is worth 50 runs.

NZ have a history of struggling in 3rd innings, especially at home vs Pak.
