I think he was deliberately tampering tbh; I don't think there's enough evidence to ban him for it though. I also happen to think it was awesome.

Right Gul should get a life ban for this gross misconduct!

Why would you cast a doubt on Gul? Has he done this before? As far as i know he has never been a culprit in any misconduct of any kind. It is simply a habit....even when he reversed the ball against NZ in T20 game of the 2009 WC Vettori was talking in a way which was more or less saying he tempered with the ball because Vettori had never seen a ball reverse after 12 overs......To me its becoming quite sickening.....the whole world can take that benefit of the doubt and shove it up its ass....
Oh come on..stop being so defensive all of a sudden...enough of this baloney already...there is nothing in that video suggesting he did anything wrong.....
I don’t think I’m the one being defensive here. I’m simply pointing out that our cricketers have a bad recent history in ethics. Does that automatically mean Gul was tampering with the ball? Of course not! In fact, I don’t think he was. However, I can’t fault people for thinking that way because of all the ****ty things our heroes indulged in recently. If you want to react angrily to allegations like these, go ahead it’s your right. Just keep in mind that all the righteous shouting in the world isn’t going to change anyone’s mind. Only if the Pakistani players stay controversy-free for several years will people give us the benefit of the doubt.

Yeah same. I found it more amusing than anything; plus it didn't seem to help Gul specifically.

Wasn't like he was chewing it, or anything.

Morning fellas, ahhhh, crap start to the morning, cracking delivery to be fair. Can Williamson up the ante now he's batting with the genuine tailenders?

Damn. Southee and the short ball is not a good combination. Still, that's the best test innings he's played in his career so far.

Vague sniff of a chance for a win. :)

Anyway, discussing what constitutes the 'best' of something with of all different definitions of that word is not my cup of tea. I'd say that was Astle's most enjoyable innings.

Bit of inexperience showing from Kane here. Really shouldn't be letting the tailenders get so much of the strike.

And as they say that Arnel slogs a 4.

If only Franklin could get back to being half the bowler he was in 2005, we'd actually have a incredibly deep batting line-up with Franklin replacing Arnel. Arnel has 5 test wickets @ 68
