*Official* - Pakistan in New Zealand 2010/2011

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
Echo sentiments of this resembling a sane batting order. Though I advocated a Ryder-Baz opening partnership this order of the top 3 is also pleasing.

The way he is going give it 5-8 overs and he will have a century. We really need Taylor and Styris to come in with this positive environment Ryder/Guptill has set later on and find some form as well.

Seven sixes and only 15 overs gone.
Out of the powerplay overs now so may just choke back a little. Not suggesting he couldn't clear the fielders if he takes them on, but may be tad more circumspect, not likely though as he swipes pretty horribly at that one from Razzaq.

Hope he bats sensibly here, would be easy for him to just continue trying to smash everything and get out for a quickfire 70, but them scores don't win you ODI's. Remain aggressive but pick the right ones Jesse.

NZ will need 350. This ground is so difficult to defend on. Even a mis-hit can go for 6.
I would say 330 would be enough on this ground. Pakistan don't have Misbah as well. Though i think they should try and score as much as they possibly can tbh. We need some confidence.

**** its only the 19th over and the commentator is already bitching about the batting powerplay.

Yes Ryder making it look like a postage stamp. No score will be safe on here, especially if NZ are unlucky enough to catch Afridi on an explosive day for a good length of time.

Really do wish I'd seen Razzaq in his prime. Just looking at his stats from his first 100 odd games, they're really quite incredible as an ODI allrounder.
Razzaq used to be amazing. Probably the best smasher I have ever seen, even better than Afridi. Could hit the ball harder than anyone, especially straight down the ground. Good opening bowler who could swing the new ball pretty well, but has lost has pace since then. It was pretty great when we had him, waqar, wasim, akhtar and azhar mahmood in the team.

However he has always been a crap fielder, extremely lazy.

Ryder now looks determined to give this away, either via a horrible slog across the line or lazily running himself out! Kind of emphasises why he only has one ODI ton to his name, alongside his fitness problems. Just needs to bat properly, positively but properly!

A few tight overs produces a rash shot from Guptill. Seems to be all or nothing, neither of these two content to push the ball around and run hard (ish) and wait for the boundary opportunity.

That's ****en ridiculous.

If a batsman can't run, get a ****en runner.
Why not take the batting power play?

I could see that coming a mile away. Awesome stuff guys. Continue this way and you will continue being a joke.
