Taylor is slimmer than Ryder. But this is the player we're talking about.

Ryder has lost a lot of weight in the last 2 years. And if being fat is a one way ticket to injury, then how come Inzamam played 120 tests? Ranatunga with 93 in an era when SL didn't play much cricket? David Boon with 107.

And it's not like Ryder had a grand history of injuries prior to about the last 12 months, despite being far more overweight than he currently is. Before he pulled a hami in the CT in september '09, the only other time I can remember him being injured was when he slashed his hand to ribbons.
He may have lost weight but has he put on any muscle to protect him?

Boon hardly moved in the field. Same can be said for the potato, ranatunga is a bit of a mystery. But its a pretty universal truth that the fitter you are them the less injuries you will encounter, as well as that your recovery will be faster.

I say stack the weight on son. Clearly helps him with his balance at the crease - well when he's facing that is.

So,where's the 'Oh Pakistan will lose this match' and 'Pakistan have been rubbish' crowd?

Expect another close finish today.Shoaib's fitness is a worry though.I hope it's nothing serious and he's fit for the WC.

We still have a chance of winning today. NZ can collapse any moment. Guptill was really lucky. Sometimes I wish the ICC could just somehow take points away from teams/players if they get a second life due to poor umpiring and then go on to make a century.

Thinking about it we have a seriously deep batting line up tonight. Taylor and McCullum at the crease and Styris, Franklin, Oram, N McCullum and Mills to come tonight.

WTF is McCullum doing! A floater concept for BM sounds like Wright doesn't want to admit defeat and put McCullum back up the top of the order.

I agree with your hafeez sentiments.......however to anti-jinx him I must say that he can be **** in the last 10 overs.
