I wouldn't read too much into these warm-up matches, they are called that for a reason. By the way, have Brendon McCullum and Daniel Vettori been ruled out of the tour ?

Not much above medium pace apparently.
Good old Prince EWS answering a question when he really can't add much to the discussion, having not seen him. Still, why change the habit of a lifetime?

Bates is definitely in the medium-fast category, and gets nice carry through to the 'keeper.

Erm..so what's the range he bowls in? Medium-fast? 130-135?

Yeah I agree with Voltman he would touch 135 at his fastest.

I rate him tbh, one of the only Aucklances Faeces I like.

Completely disagree - I'd see him getting a few balls through at 135kmh.
He looks low to mid 130s to me. Has good control and an excellent yorker.

I'm talking generally here fellas, I wouldn't argue that he couldn't get the odd ball through at 135k. I'd be surprised however if his average speed wasn't between 128-133, I've seen him bowl live a few times and he didn't look any quicker than the likes of Tuffey and even de Grandhomme who would be struggling to get it through at 130.
