Good batting by India but Munaf has not begun well, it seems the pace is now there, hitting consistantly over 130kph but the accuracy is not. At this rate, RP Singh and Sreesanth will waltz back into the side when fit.
Steady on. He's bowled only 1 over!

In this Test, but he was unimpressive in the last.

The TV coverage has pinpointed an ankle twist in Zaheer Khan, lets hope that that is all that it is.

After racing to the stumps from his fielding position, Harbhajan is coming on to bowl. This could be a good move on a deteriorating pitch.

So when do India declare? Bat all day or do you give Pakistan a tricky hour to bat? I would go for the latter as you are likely to get a couple of wickets in that time.
Yeah, excellent call. One more wicket and it will end perfectly for India here... :)

Indiaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! :D

Feel so pissed, fell asleep for a short period, and during that period Ganguly scored his century. Woke up, and saw him getting out. I missed it, ****. Especially cuz' I wanted to see the response from the crowd. :wallbash:

Same for Ganguly, Dravid (who wasn't out despite what Mr Doctrove thought) Tendulkar and Jaffer as well IMO. Shades of 03/04 all over again? Potentially so.
With one difference. The 500+ scores in that phase were usually built around one 300+ run partnership (once 400+) between almost any two of Sehwag/Dravid/Tendulkar/Laxman and one of those 4 going on to make a seminal score.

This year the big scores are likely to be based on 3,4,5 or even decent 6 partnerships with many 50+ scores from all positions 1-7, sometimes even from 8,9,10,11. Nobody except Jaffer has gotten a big score in the last year but the team has had a few good totals.

Similar story in bowling. Many 2-fors, 3-fors and 4-fors in the same innings from Kumble, Zaheer but also from RP,Sree, Harbhajan with Ganguly,Sachin pitching in. (In limited overs, Pathan has put up a bunch of them too*.) A couple of 5-fors but none of those 7-fors, 8-fors yet.

Collective resilience vs individual brilliance is an unusual theme in Indian cricket. (real competition for spots is helping no doubt).

* Why I think he needs to be tried out in the test format again. Swing is down but pace, cutters are up but most of all discipline to fit in to a bigger plan is there.

8-)

Trust the Indian fans to predict magical scores when the guy hasn't even reached 200.

4-0 vs Australia this december, anyone? Surely with the godlike Jaffer in control, what's to fear?

Jaffer to fall around 250.
So you accuse Indians of predicting score and how did you finish your post, another prediction ?

what the hell?

just read lawson's interview... according to him bowler did welll in a batting paradise... harbajhan and anil kumble give a very hard time to pakistani batsmans at the end of the day... so in 15 minutes the pitch changed to bowling pitch. when india declared and pakistan started to bat... this is ridiculous ..

he also said Kanera and sami bowled really well... ya they help three indian batsman reach century not to forget one of them double century..

I fully expect Pakistan to follow-on and finish with a lead of around 100. India should then easily trash them by 9 wickets or so. This series will end up as the most lopsided in India/Pak's history.

AWTA.

Predicting a whitewash tbh.

Chasing 150+ on this pitch could get very tricky IMO. If Pakistan get bowled out before the end of day tomorrow, it may not be a bad idea to bat again, and get another quick 250 runs in 60 overs.

Please I request anyone who has pics or anything of this woman, to hook a brother up. My curiosity has reached an all time high. I searched everywhere, didn't find anything  .
