adnan raza, samiullah naizi, asad ali, anwar ali, jamshid ahmad and soo on... they all have wonderful first class averages... if selectors are selecting players based on thier averages then their averages doesn't get better than thier current averges..

adnan raza batsman averages 48 in test 56 in one day
niazi left hand medium fast averages only 18 in 40 test matches..
asad ali fast bowler averages only 21 ..
anwar ali fast bowler who swings the ball like spiner... single handedly definding a total of under 150 for pakistan and retain the U-19 world cup for pakistan
jamshid ahmad.. equally good as anwar ali...

asim kamal such a promising cricketer, abdul rauf has been performing consistently for years now, khalid latif... an openner who averages more than anyone even better than salman butt, yasir hameed taufeeq umar and soo on..

indeed it is "sifarish" like u said that keeps these talented cricketers away from playing in international level.

I know about all u mentioned,I just named a few in my post.BTW these guys have played FC matches,not Tests.Mansoor Amjad is another talented cricketer which comes to mind.

If this is a batting paradise India will want to declare tonight sometime to get two cracks at batsman settling in against the new ball, this evening and tommorow so they need to lift the rate again and try for a breakthrough before stumps.

Karthik might have done decently as a test opener before but lets be honest he is not a natural opener and he was just brought in the side as a makeshift arrangement, so a guy who has opened all his in domestic cricket should be given a chance ahead of Karthik because i am not in favour of having makeshift test openers, opening the batting in test cricket is a specialised job.
