Mr biggun24,

Very well argued and a tribute to rational and reasonable thought.

I think I may be changing my opinion now.

and what do you disagree with here?
Erm, everything you've said about Gough.

The only time he's really looked anything is with the new ball, whilst he's been useless at the death, so you propose using him as a 4th seamer who bowls at the death...

Tremlett hasn't played much this season & probably is only now getting himself back together with the 6 for he took last week. Even though he didn't make this squad he is surely not out of contention if certain people fail.
7 out of 13 games in the CC - hardly been sidelined all season.

Out of interest, how many full days of Cricket do you get to watch a year on which to base that blanket statement?
Im guessing, far fewer than what is actually required to qualify that statement.

Why would he be shellshocked. Its not as if would be a unheard of accusation for any team. Noone close to cricket would ever be too surprised if such a decision was made as it fairly common.
Wrong Argument ..... I have probably watched prettymuch most international series that has been played since 2002 with the exception of few that have been played concurrently or if I am at work or travelling where I would mostly be following through cricinfo. I have been following cricket on a less regular basis before 2002 on dish. Some teams like Zimbabwe and bangldesh is not covered as much on dish or cable. So your guessing is wrong.

As to my point of Inzy being Shellshocked ... Well obviously i am only speculating .... but This sort of accusation has never happend whilst Inzy was at the Helm and its only a human reaction when out of the blue you are vilified as a cheater. If Inzy was delibarately conspiring to tamper with the ball of course their is no reason for him to be so.

I dont know what cricket you have been watching, but in Gough's last ODI series for England it was very obvious that his problem was that he wasn't getting wickets with the new ball but was still bowling well at the death.
